Nice lunch out with friends. Been awhile since we hooked up with so much going on lately. Best surprise was my friend making it out. Has COPD bad and most the time just wife shows up. Then we'd go to their house and get to play with the dog too.

Went to pick up a new pair of glasses, and they worked.

Background: Last month, went to America's Best for the optometrist/eyeglass deal. The optometrist ran the check up and wrote the prescription. The girl behind the eyeglass counter tried to hustle me for 450.00 :sign_excuseme:  No deal, worst case scenario, the MOST a pair of eyeglasses actually cost is 50.00  :sign_endofdiscussion:  Two years ago I went to Lens Crafters and told the guy there, "Hey, I will pay no more than 200.00 and if you can't do that, I will go somewhere else." He made the deal. So, when the girl at America's best tried to hustle me, I went to Lens Crafters. Same deal, told the guy "Hey, 200, or I walk." He made the deal. Problem though, the optometrist at America's best has really poor handwriting and we had to guess at some of the numbers. So, today, when I tried on the glasses, we got the numbers right.   :sign_outstanding:

Good to hear.

I just had an eye exam last Wednesday and same thing. I went to a reputable place for the exam, then walk out the door with the prescription.  Tried some on at Sam's and Walmart, but that's still not cheap enough.  I just use them to see what I like on my chubby face.
And last night I ordered last night from www.zennioptical.com    which is 8 times cheaper than the first place I was at, and half the cost of Sams or Walmart.  I buy 4 pair, so I feel I've got to get the cost way down.

It seems that we have been able to sell our townhouse condo without listing it on MLS. That saves us the realtor commission. Now we just have to close the deal on or before 9 November. My wife and I are leaving and going to La Paz BCS Mexico for the winter.

That is all.

Lots of great news lately. I am starting a new job on Monday. I finally collected a *huge* fee that I have been working on for years. Financial worries resolved for a while. I signed a big probate case, with a large retainer. I am doing my last “gig” type appearance on Thursday. Very fortunate in a lot of different ways. Very very happy.

I had tickets to a concert in green bay last night, and I thought it was next week for some reason. I was going with four of my friends, and I had completely screwed up the plan and told them that I'd just meet them there. I went home, got changes and headed out.

I was late getting there and the first opener was already playing. This was an hard rock n roll concert and the music was heavy, fast, and very loud. This was my first time in the Resch Center since they rebuilt it. Seemed so much smaller.

I got there found my friend and statted enjoying the live music. I had never heard if the opening act. They were named DED. I was actually quite impressed and I enjoyed their songs. Little more screaming than I usually like, but otherwise they were really quite good.

The second opening act however I did know and I've heard some of their songs before. They were Black veil Brides.  No it was not an all woman band, and they do have some really good songs, for those who like really heavy metal rock. I did not enjoy their performance though. Its like they just wanted to be really loud. It was just too loud. I couldnt even hear the lyrics. I could tell he was singing, but I couldn't hear anything. I give their performance a big ol boo, except for one moment. Lead guitarist came out with a violin, and when he played, it was so hauntingly beautiful. It's one of those things that could make you smile with tears in your eyes. It was just so beautiful.

Headliner never disappoints. I've seen In This Moment four times, and I couldn't care less if their set was pretty much the same every time. They're sound and performance was right on once again. Only problem was, I only got to hear three of their songs before me and Kim were escorted by two police officers out of the concert.

Why did this happen? Well between bands, we were all getting drinks, and where we were standing, there was this utterly obnoxious... kid there. Couldnt have been more than 19 or 20. He was just spewing out obscenities and cat calling most of the women that walked by. We were sick of hearing him, and decided to leave, however at that moment this woman walked by. She was really pretty, just a little overweight, and this...FUCKING ASSHOLE who isnt either good looking or in good shape, has the audacity to make a mooing sound as she walked by him.

I didn't think, I jabbed him hard in the ribs with my cane, and not a half a heart beat later, Kim kicked him right in his tiny cabbage patch. He dropped like the sack of shit he is. People literally applauded us as we moved as quick as we could back to the crowd. It took the police quite a while to finally find us, and they escorted us out. Once outside, one cop said he would arrest us, but nobody said they witnessed anything. It was basically his word against ours, and the other said they suspect he's really high on something they just dont know what.

Anyways. That was my Tuesday night.

Our Shiela...never a dull moment. :D

While I'm opposed to violence, I can certainly appreciate why the two of you did what you did.
You were lucky not to get busted. It can still come back on you, so be prepared. If he has a family with a few brain cells added together, they may try to grab some money in a civil suit.

Good, the creep deserved it.  I don't know why they kicked you out.

I went to a concert also.  The two girls and I went to see Noah Kahan. They really like him.  They thought it was general admission but I surprised them with VIP tickets for $50 per ticket more.  We met him and all of his band.  And the warm-up band, who was a very cute Australian. I've got a thing for Army now after hearing the singers voice last night.

Army?  We need to have a mod meeting in the hottub, hun.

There was no arrest, so I doubt there was a report. Her identity is safe. That’s just my experience with these kind of things. The police are basically lazy about writing things down. I doubt she’s in the system. And the guy was stoned, so who knows what he even remembered this morning?

All five of us left, but it was me they focused on, and then assumed Kim was the other person involved because we were standing with arms linked. The rest of our group just followed. We did assault the jerk.

They never even asked for our names, they just stuck some flashlights in our faces and took us both by the arm and escorted us out. I don't know if that one cop was being serious about arresting us or just trying to scare us, but the other guy was really cool about the whole thing and even apologized for kicking us out.

Drugs and alcohol bring out a person’s true colors.  It’s probably why I like alcohol and some drugs in moderation.  You know who and what you are dealing with when someone is, including yourself, 3 sheets to the wind.  Anyone who’s nice when sober, but not nice otherwise, is hiding who they really are until they’re intoxicated.  We all can have our less than stellar moments, but if you’re always an asshole when high, that’s the real you.

And sometimes these assholes need a clear reminder of you they are.  That’s actually best when done by girls.  Wish I’d seen it.
