18 years is still a lifetime. More than doubled what I did.

Kinda contra-positive,
But instead of ruining my day, was one of the only good things which happened today.
Bought a bar of Toblerone

I know, not a big deal for most of the people here, but for me it is, as it’s the first one I’ve ever managed to get my hands on in my life so far.

Normally my Dad has a bunch of people over, but it seems like everybody had tickets to the game, so it was just me and him. It was nice, and somewhat peaceful, my Dad can get quite rambunctious during a game. I had an absolutely fantastic time, and will probably sleep here tonight. Still have to work in the morning, so we'll see.

A good thing indeed. Having everyone around is fun and all, but sometimes a little quiet and peace’s good too.

Logged into the bank to pay bills and discovered that I finally got the $600 stimulus payment that most people got in January.  ;D Actually 608-dollars and change was deposited on Friday. Five and a half months after filing my tax return, I had just about given up on it.

Like finding money in the dryer, except more.  Yay!

What made my day...
I haven't been online the last 3 days.
Dan and I went camping in the RV.  No phone, no internet (I did have my Kindle though).  Just our bikes, our running gear, our yahtzee game and cards.  And campfires!  I love campfires.  Yes, I did the s'mores, but I use Reeses Peanut Butter cups instead of chocolate.
It rained a bit on us on Saturday, but we made the best of it by staying in bed, under the covers, nekid. :)
Then, luckily, it was raining Sunday morning again.

Ahhh...a rainy night under the covers. And, naked! Nothing better.
Me, were I younger and able to function, I'd also be posting in "Who got laid". ;D

Spent all morning at the VA getting various pre-op tests and checks. Everything ok for my surgery on the 21 st. Be glad to get this behind me, hopefully. That will depend on pathology reports.

P.S.  I forgot in the above post to add that while at the VA, I got my flu shot and a Covid booster. So, blood draw and two vaccine injections... lots of holes. Hope I don't leak.  :D

Thinking of you. And a tip: to avoid leaking, arch your hips up until you can get a tissue.

Just like being in the Army. Hurry up, then wait.   ;D ;D  I am still waiting to see the neurologist. Twenty-three more days.

Slower day at work. So I decided to write a story from this past weekend. Might finish it today, might not. It's fun reliving a pleasant memory by putting it down in writing.

Not a made my day moment, just a comment and I figured I'd post it here.

I love the interactive stories where the readers pick which way the story is going. Not easy for an author to post options and then have to go that way.

We started watching a show called Ordinary Joe.  The main character has just graduated college.  Commencements just ended. He was torn between three choices for post grad celebration.  A) go with his girlfriend to her parents place on the water for the weekend, B) go out to dinner with his mom, aunt and uncle, and C) go hang out with a girl he had just met half an hour before.   The show reveals three different results of where his life went, based on what decision he made on who to celebrate that afternoon.  Really neat show.  Different. Sort of like what a couple of my favorite authors are doing. How fun.

Well, but if they make such episodes then wouldn’t that be exponentially increasing,
Do they (the producers) host a poll at the end?
I myself am working on a story of the kind, though at first, it’d be pseudo-interactive, that is, the different choices will lead up to the same conclusion, but in different ways, but when I run out of ideas, then it’s open to suggestions.

I wasn't sure how it would go after the first episode.   Meaning, would it make a new "deciding moment" moment.
No, the other sticking with the original three story lines.
In one scenario he ends up being a rockstar.
The other he ends up following in his fathers footsteps and becomes a cop.
The third, he follows a career path based on his college studies.
