She's a hard one to keep down. Always doing stuff for others and doting on her dog. I hope I can get down there as soon as she's feeling up to visitors.

My sister and her wifey paying their share of the bills.  ;D

And strangely, they still have plenty of money left to not only take care of their kid, but put into savings. I'd say those expensive educations might be worth it after all.  :roll:

Went across the border to Wisconsin yesterday to an interesting slide show on how Trumpeter Swans have been brought back from near extinction to an expanding population and spreading to new areas.

As we crossed the river from Minnesota to Wisconsin, there were three Bald Eagles circling over the small town. Great sight...never get tired of seeing Eagles. :D

A young lawyer sent me a message yesterday, “How did you become the perfect dad?”  He and his wife are expecting their first, and he sees my frequent social media posts about my kids.

I replied:  My father only said “I love you” to me one time in my life. And that was only after I dared him to it. “I don’t think you know how.” So he did, half heartedly. I tell my kids every day I love them. Sometimes the worst examples can be the best teachers. We’ve always been readers, debaters, and have had a lot of fun over family meals. I guess I got lucky. I certainly have two of the best kids in the world.

Of course after sending that reply, I had to send my kids a Snap:  Just wanted to remind you both that I love you.  And I am very proud to be your father.  You are the best sons a man could ask for.

To which my youngest replied:  “Is everything okay dad?  I love you.”

Just feeling very lucky and blessed over coffee.

watching my sister and her wifey argue over who's accent their daughter will end up with. Her mommies British, or my sisters American.

But they both agreed "Not like CJ's".  :emot_laughing:

It's kinda true that sometimes I'll talk like my normal dumb blonde self, then for some reason I put on a "seductive" kinda tone. It's hard to explain but I'll start out sounding normally like when I ask "so, what do you think we should have for dinner?" But then I'll sound all sexy for some reason if I said "how about pizza?".  :roll:

Like I said, hard to actually explain. But I think they're right not to want the kid to talk like a dumb blonde/slut anyway ;D CJ is a bad example. I can make something as innocent as caring for a booboo suddenly sound perverted when I certainly don't intend it.  :roll:
