I recall RF making this same observation of something making your day a while back.  For those of us up there in years, sometimes just FINALLY HAVING A DECENT SHIT will do it.

That was last night.  My Peruvian was getting her hair done, took 3 hours.  I drank beer down the road while waiting.  When I went back to pick her up and she wasn’t ready, I had to bushwhack into the woods to find a tree to fertilize.

The kids’ time clocks are still 8 hours ahead, so naturally they wake up Папочка at 5:30 a.m. for breakfast.  Fried potatoes and sour cream, like every good Russian. I haven’t had more than five hours sleep since Tuesday...

My daughters 10th birthday party. We were surprised with a video I made before she was born with me talking to her when she was "grown up enough".

CJ of then and now are so... different. That CJ was just off drugs and almost out of the teen years.

Young CJ: So, I don't know how you're going to turn out but as long as you're better than me in every way I'm cool with it.

She's better than you in every way, younger CJ. She inherited your looks, but thankfully not your IQ. Mission accomplished.  :hug:

Celebrated the Solstice with friends from our photo club last night. We started a nice fire in one of the enclosed shelters at the local state park, had hot chocolate and snacks with friendly conversation.

It was also a great top off to my Birthday too. One kind lady did ask how old I was. When I answered 74, she said, "I was thinking maybe 65!"  What a sweetie...really knows how to make an old, over the hill guy feel good.  Wish my aching old bones would have been listening. :D

Also spent a quiet afternoon watching our favorite Christmas movie, "Die Hard". Nothing like the pitter-patter of automatic weapons fire to get you in the holiday spirit.

I know many of you with be busy with Christmas almost upon us.  I wish you  and your families the very best of the season and to make it a safe one.

She thinks the same, but she's too wonderful for me to have had all the influence.

There's no one in this universe I love the way I love her. My kids are all equal in my heart, but she and I have a bond I can't explain. I'm dreading that inevitable day she leaves me to start a life of her own.  :facepalm:

And no, you can't have her.   ;D

Since it was the Winter Solstice yesterday that means from today until June 21st the amount of daylight per day will slowly increase. More daylight equals a happier Watcher.  8)

CJ finished all the Xmas shopping. There's more stuff than tree.  :roll:

CJ has never, and never will like Xmas. When I was a kid I didn't like it. I like it less now that it costs a fuck lot of money. But I don't get the kids lavish junk that'll be obsolete in 3 months, I get them things they need and stuff they'd like to have. And since they're all angels, it's impossible to ever say they weren't good and didn't earn it.

Also, when I buy them new clothes we gather up all the old and donate. So there's some good that comes of this holiday.
