I was 58 when I got the wake-up call / check engine light.  Luckily it was easily corrected, and the cardiologist said my heart won't kill me until extreme old age.  That made my DECADE.  :D  My mom and dad both died around the age I am now, so hearing that I'll probably outlive all my friends and family was both glorious and disheartening.

The chest doc a couple of years earlier gave me a clean bill of health, "no evidence of pre-emphysema-like symptoms" on the chest MRI.  I still have maybe 6 more chances to collapse a lung and die from that unexpectedly (blebs), but that's likely due to the allergies I have here in Dallas from researching chest.net back then.  Consensus is allergies cause it, although the chest doc told me I needed to stop smoking.  I pointed to the MRI results and said "Please explain why.  Use small words, as that says otherwise."  :D

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

Talking with my old girlfriend today for her 52nd birthday.  We’ve known each other for over 30 years, and lovers for ten.  We know each other’s good and bad points.  We almost got married, but didn’t.  So she’s the “one who got away,” but that’s good too, because knowing us, we would have figured out a way to fuck things up.  Anyway, we had a nice chat, caught up on things, exchanged photos.  I’d still hit that.

Perfect day to go to the park.  :D

It was a good day for a hayride too. Tad cool this morning when we started out though.

Little brother: I told a girl at school that she looks like my big sister. Even has your hair color.

Me: That's cool. So she must be super cute then, huh?

Little brother: Very.

Me: (teasing) So, are you in love with her???

Little brother: No! She only looks like a younger version of you, but she's not as awesome as you. No one is.

I watched a man sitting in the street, wearing a top hat and playing the original Star Trek theme on a saw.

As a musician it always fascinates me all the different objects that can be used to make music.  i can envision the saw man you witnessed.

the most fascinating i ever witnessed was some young teen kids that were making music with leaves rustling together,  hands splashing in a full bucket of water and the scraping of shoes by one on cement and the other in dirt.  accompanied by ever soo soft singing.  I cant rembmeber what they were playing.  it was beautiful  such talent

I agree, MJ. Using non-traditional instruments to come up with a great rhythm and beat tells me that that person or persons is/are an artist in the making.

Home alone.  First time in ages.  I got up at 5 a.m. and took everyone where they needed to be for school and work.  So now I’m enjoying a White Russian and watching college ball.

Also:

A new, "painfully cute and adorable" young Asian girl just got hired at the place wifey works at. So I've been teasing her, asking if she wants to fuck her.

Wifey: It might surprise you to hear, white girl, that just because I'm gay it doesn't mean I want to have sex with every pretty girl I see."

Me: You so wanna fuck her.

Wifey: No.

Me: Why? You said she's Asian.

Wifey: I said Asian, not Japanese-American.

Me: So fucking what!?

Wifey: I hate you cussing so much, by the way. I don't know how many times I've told you to stop. But to answer your question, I don't really have much of any interest in Asian girls who aren't Japanese.

Me: So, your sexual preferences are obviously white and only Japanese girls?

Wifey: Yep.

Me: But why don't you want to fuck her? Tell the truth.

Wifey: She's Filipino.

Me: So? Is Filipino even technically Asian?

Wifey: She may be cute and adorable, but it doesn't fix that.

Me: You're such a gay racist!

Wifey: You wouldn't let me fuck her anyway.

Me: HAH! So you haven't dismissed it just because she's what you classify an inferior race of Asians, it's because you think you can't fuck her because of me.

Wifey: Maybe.

Me: So bring her home, we'll fuck her together. I'll clean all the filthy inferior race off her for you.

Wifey: (thinks about it) Really?

 :emot_laughing:

By the way, I did see a picture of her from wifey. A "team" pic of wifey as the head chef and her minions beneath her. She is soooooooooooooooo cute and adorable. I wanna fuck her, and will if wifey doesn't wanna.  ;D

We have a running joke about the dog being my weighted blanket, because she loves to lay on daddy’s lap. So I frequently have this hound sleeping on my gut.

AND, after not paying a whole lot of attention to the radio this morning, I found out the Dodgers got beat by Washington last night. As an avowed despiser of the LA Dodgers, THAT really made my day.

The only thing in baseball that I hate more than the Dodgers is the entire American League.

I resemble this remark and wholeheartedly approve!

Had a very long talk with my daughter. I told her the way things are now is not how I wanted my life to turn out. I'd trade it all away just for the two of us to be off on our own.

To which she got really mad at me about, lecturing me on how a lot of little girls wouldn't have what they have now if I did that. She's right of course, but deep down I'd still rather it had just been the two of us on our own.

I wish I didn't end up with so many children and living in a zoo of people. She was all I wanted.

But I'm glad she set me right.  :D
