I don’t really do Starbucks.
I am an insufferable coffee snob. I drink soda for a caffeine fix, I drink coffee to enjoy it. Some people it's beer, wine, or spirits, IDFK, but I pretty much have to make the coffee to enjoy it, I'm that anal. Fortunately, John (My, landlord? There's not really an existing term for our relationship) loves my coffee, and only drinks a cup.
I hate Starbucks because of their corporate practices, but I'm not going to ruin your day by going off on a woke SJW anti-consumerism local economic dissertation. Suffice it to say, they're systematically destroying the small businesses the move in specifically to undercut the price on, and remove the "Competition." So, all the money that could be circulating in every neighborhood of every town goes to Seattle, where they seem to need it more.
They are the 1%. I don't pay welfare to the 1%. I'll spend 5 times as much to give my money to someone who lives here, and can shake my hand, with the caveat that it's all imported, and the coffee industry is bad fro places like Brazil, and Sumatra, where it will actually grow in bulk.
