I've changed diapers before.  I recommend at least a Level B Hazmat suit.

I don't miss diaper changes at all.  For me, it was always needing 4 hands, but admittedly, they were a pretty squirmy baby.

I love changing diapers.  ;D Some times.

I love seeing my new baby smile and giggle while I do it. I missed her so much.  :'(

I missed all of them.

Seeing my grandson driving my car. He only got up to 20mph and we didn't leave the CC parking lot, but you gotta start somewhere.

We had trouble adjusting the seat for his shorter legs. I forgot the drivers side is electric instead of manual. As a result, he never did put his seat-belt on.

My fault as the teacher and adult. We agreed that it would be our little secret that the first time he drove a car it was without being belted in properly.

If I read of another non-seat belt excursion, someone is getting a boo.  You were warned mister!

What made my day....

Taking next week off.  The 5 of us and my daddy and his girlfriend are spending the next week in NC.  There has been an update to the trip........my wonderful man just informed me this morning that he and I will be leaving a day earlier.  The oldest is driving the rest of them the next day.    Why?   Because on our drive there, Dan and I are jumping off I-75 to do a few bourbon distillery tours, spending the night in Lexington and finishing the trip the following day.   He's such a sweetheart.  I've been talking about wanting to do one for the last year, and he scheduled 4 in one day.  Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Town Branch, Four Roses.  I'm so excited.

Buffalo Trace is a personal favorite, and the caterer contact we had for our wedding told me he visited that distillery earlier this year.

Blanton's, Eagle Rare, Weller, The Colonel are when I want to splurge.   With the shortages of each, I've stocked up on Blanton's.   I have 9 bottles hidden away.   If I see it on the shelf I'll buy it at the proper price.  Too many retailers in our area are marking it up though.

Buffalo Trace is one that I drink quite often.   It's very good.

Blanton's and Woodford tours is what I'm most excited about.

I have a very poor sense of smell - somehow it was always my turn when the nappies were more than damp...

(On the plus side, my changing technique got very complementary comments from the midwife.)

I changed diapers exactly 0 times in my life.

Yay me!

I did have to clean poop off a chair before though.   It was fabric.  I carried the cushion outside and started hosing it off.  Then I realized it was never going back in my house.   I put it in the garbage can.  On the night before garbage day I dragged the chair out of the garage to the curb.   When I left for work the next morning, the chair was gone.  I looked in the garbage can and the cushion was gone.  I wonder how far down the road they discovered why it was being disposed of.

Oh, there was the time when one of them was constipated for a couple of days, then left a trail of lumps behind them as they toddled across a gift shop floor...

I can do the whole process so fast now I'd win any diaper changing competition there is. And if there are those, then... the fuck? That's gross. Stop that.

But as for what made my day, I officially cut off financial support of my sister and her wifey, and unfortunately their daughter. They wanna move to New York and take the kid away from her family, they can do it without my money.

Besides, I have enough children to take care of, and they're adults about to start careers. They don't need my help anymore.

CJ took a stand. They'll be fine. My sisters mom will just have to take over for me and spend more.

I'd need at least a $60K job to be able to live in New York - anything else and you're stuck in the slum neighborhoods.  A quick look at apartment prices shows everything from $1800 to around $4500 per month for a decent apartment.  Buying some place?  Forget it!  No way in hell can most people afford that.

Don't look at me, it's not my problem. If it works out they can probably afford it.

But it's their business, not mine. CJ's washed her hands of it. They're adults. Of course if they stayed here, they'd have all the family and babysitters they'd ever need. But apparently they don't give a fuck about that.

My sisters wife's family desperately wants out of the UK. They said London is a disaster, they refuse to even set foot there. So they've asked my sisters  mom with help to come here. She's a lawyer, so if anyone can help it's her.

That made Summer very, very happy. She'd love to have her family here. Which would also prevent them from going to New York.  ;D

Riding home from work yesterday I approached from behind a beat up old Toyota Tacoma pickup and began laughing.  The last two letters of the model name had been pried off, so the young man behind the wheel was now driving a Toyota Taco.

I’m easily amused.

I have also seen an occasional “Toyota coma.”  May be describing the driving skills of its owner.
