My new 5 year old rolled over this morning, wrapped her arms around me and said "morning, mommy".  :'(

She's always called me CJ. But I always was her real mommy anyway.

She tried to correct herself, I just grabbed her and held her.  :'(

Moments like that are what make it all worthwhile. I'm so thankful for all the joy my kids brought into my life.

Then they get to middle school and everything changes.  :(

Dan was just telling me about his youngest.   Middle school, along with her mom and dad going through a divorce.   He said she was a terror.   There was no custody battle, but if there was, he joked, "She could have kept her 100% of the time."

My daughter, I just can't see that happening.   I'll get back to you in 5 years with an update.

Sorry, CG, I do know what Goonies was.  Born in 1974, I remember it well.   I was a little tipsy last night and was going to try and make a joke.  And hit submit when I decided I wasn't going to.   


What made my day.   Celebrating today with two of the best dad's I know.   Having the our three daughters home, along with my father and his girlfriend over.  Just all of us together is special.

Now if the rain would just please stop.    Not looking good for the Detroit area.  :(
So no time hanging out around the pool it appears. Instead inside playing games while the boys have the US Open on.  Yay, watching golf.  That's fun. ;)

CJ had an awful headache today, but got over it with some hugs and kisses from a lovely little lady.  :D

We're havin' spaghetti tonight and watching a movie again.  ;D

The youngest finished his college course today, engineering, top of his class with straight "Distinction" grades.
