Nothing drives the religious crazies over the edge faster than confronting their heretical beliefs with scripture.
Yeah, well you know that I tried (And failed) to be an Antiochian Orthodox Monk. (Crisis of Faith.) So, I can whip him with scriptures in Syriac! He turns out to be a Libertarian, not an Anarchist, he just doesn't know the difference.
I specifically used the Gospels, and "The Greatest Commandment" to show that the Christian Law is Authoritarian.
Mathew: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."
Mark: "‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these."
And Luke: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Then, someone said that this isn't Enforced. So, I amended that with Luke 10:28 "Do this, and You Shall Live." (NIV)
You've got to know that there's very few quotes from Jesus that are backed up, in all 3 Gospels. I'm of the belief that if Mathew, Mark, AND Luke agree that He said it? There's a good chance that He actually said it. Here was his response:
AnarchoChristian: "I didn’t read through all of your comments. What I did see, seems to stem from a misunderstanding of law, Christianity and anarchy, that that I think these resources will address."
Then, he linked me to several episodes of his own Podcast, as a source, to explain the specific scriptures I listed, and quoted. "Watch my podcast" is not an answer.
