I'm approaching a foul looking pickup on the way home... it's all bashed up, and the paint is peeling off of it in strips.

I get beside it and eventually make out PROFESSIONAL PAINTER on the driver's door.

Yeah, probably not your best advertisement, dude.  Might want to get another truck, and don't use latex paint on your truck next time.

A while back I discovered the ‘spare’ set of keys they gave me at the dealer when I bought my camper/trailer were the wrong set.  I had them in my truck for a year until I realized they didn’t work.  I only had one set and been putting off getting a 2nd set made.  I’ve been fearful of losing my only set while on a trip.  I go places in the middle of nowhere, so finding a locksmith would be a real pain.

This morning I found another set in my underwear drawer that work.  I must have been handed two spare sets at one point, but one was wrong and I put the wrong one in my truck and the right one in the house promptly forgetting about it.

Such little things make my day these days.

It didn't snow as bad as they said it would. In fact, sister and her wifey stole the kids for a mall trip. CJ was looking forward to being shut in with the kids today.  :'(

Oh well. Tomorrow is going to be brutally cold. Snuggle time!  :D

A day late posting, but yesterday, aged 51, I had my first ever ride of a motorbike.

I say "motorbike", but it's only a 50cc 2-stroke moped. Youngest son bought it from a friend for a tenner, and is working to make it properly rideable after 25 years as a farm bike.

No lights, one working brake, seat missing, back wheel no circular, front forks pointing in three different directions at once (none of them the correct one), seat gone a bit peculiar, wiring loom largely missing, most body panels cracked or missing, but it goes.

I probably only got it up to ten miles an hour, but that was up the potholed back lane, with nowhere to put my feet - it was terrifying, but fun!

Fun day yesterday at the annual Saintly City Cat Show...part of the Winter Carnival now on in St. Paul.  We go most year so check out the kitties and their owners too.  There was even a celebrity there, Garfield!  He stepped out of his "strip" to visit his feline friends.  Got a picture, but lots of kids around him, so can't post here.

Here's a few of the kitties being  judged.  Some were in the kitten class, so hope that doesn't get me in trouble with the mods. :D

First major snow of the season starting tonight thru Monday. 6 to 10 inches of white snow with winds.

Didn't burn out the old gas in the snowblower last spring, so got some fresh gas and gave it a try.

It started!

Now that I'm ready, maybe the storm will shift and miss us...again.  I'll be out there, bundled up, snowblower primed and...Nothing.  No sweat, I'll be glad for a another miss.

If it hits, I'm set...bring it on Mother Nature, you winter bitch!

So, my day maker was getting the snowblower fired up again.
