Speaking of Hawaii....
My parents use to go (and sometimes still go) there, but they stay at the REEF Hotel, The one on the beach next to Waikiki beach (or what's left of it). Also just for the trivia of it:  "THE REEF HOTEL" was made famous by The original "Hawaii Five-O" with Jack Lord standing on the top floor balcony of that hotel in the opening credits.

And Don Ho singing “Tiny Bubbles” at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.  The Reef is next to the Halekulani, just west.  The westernmost hotel on Waikiki.

Got my car back from the shop!  It runs almost exactly as bad as it did when I took it in, but the oil is changed!  And I can drive myself anywhere I want to go!

Daughter ended her two week visit...not the day brightener, but got one more breakfast with her this morning and she came along as I ran some errands.

Got to spend a bit more time with her then when her hubby is along.  She flew here to visit a friend with cancer.  Friend is doing ok and daughter wants to enjoy those last good days

Our times were on weekends and a shopping trip mid week with the wife last week.  Tho' we didn't spend that many days with her, we had a lot more time each visit.  She and hubby will be back in April...after the maple syrup harvest and processing is done. Yummm!  Oh yeah...dog come with them too.  Dog loves the wife and goes terrier crazy everytime she sees her.

Having lunch with my son yesterday.  We drove over to an old favorite in a small town.  It is a former gas station that opened in 1929.  Put the phones away and had a two hour confab.  No world problems were solved, but he’s a fine young man I had the fortunate job of raising.  From what I’m seeing, I did a good job.

It's a 48 hours of pajama weekend for me and my squad.  My niece has a friend staying over with her parents going out of town.  So, lots of crafts, Disney movies, Wii dancing and girl fun.  Mark will be happy to get back to work on Monday, I'm sure.  But we'll watch his football games too, so he shouldn't be too bored.  I'm surprising him throughout the weekend with shrimp and lamb-chops some shishkabobs and some other things I forgot.  Also, the girls and I will be making pizzas from scratch.
I'll be sipping some bourbon too.
