I was out of town when you posted this Jules, but congratulations, and I suppose all the loose ends are starting to come together for you now, which is just wonderful.  No more ambiguities.  You deserve much happiness, and I hope each day will continue to be better than the last.  Don’t rule out being called “mom.”  Just saying.  Love you.

Thank you all.

We're all so excited.  We actually went out to dinner last night at our favorite restaurant and had an (4 day early) celebration before Mark's oldest travels back to her university later today.

Monday they will officially be stepsisters and my niece will have a new daddy.   Why was I the only one crying tears of happiness last night when the word sisters was brought?  hahaha  Why are my eyes watering now typing this?

You won the jackpot with Mark. So happy for all three of you.

I've never quoted myself before, but I forgot one thing in my previous post.

Mark won just as big when you said yes to his proposal. He's a lucky man.

Wait, did I just make a statement that NO ONE here can disagree with?  Whoa.  :D

I passed out in the 6's bed last night. Woke up warm and snuggled with her.  :D

5 minute snuggle to send her off to sleep had the same effect on me. CJ got too comfy, couldn't get up, snuggled with the 6 all night.  :D

I got dragged to a screening of Bohemian Rhapsody.

Way better than I expected, even though I had to sneakily dry my eyes a couple of times.

Sounds like heaven on earth. Lucky CJ.

Those last few minutes before they fell asleep, {sigh} I miss that.

It doesn't help at all that she usually complains when I don't snuggle with her.  ;D

CJ hates the babies growing up.

Soon she won't want me me around anymore because I'm the one who will be annoying her, not the other way around.

Wifey got a job offer to be head chef at a fancy fuckin' restaurant, but it's further away from home than where she works now. It's not THAT far really, and it's right at a heavily trafficked area and they apparently do incredible business. I've driven by the place countless times and I actually thought it was a hotel! I guess I never noticed it's a fancy fuckin' posh restaurant.

She wants the job. She really wants it. I wanted her to quit the job she has because of how much they use and abuse her talents and how tired she is when she gets home. This job would be way better according to her. So I told her to take it if she wants it. She'll also make more money, so that's good.

CJ fully supports her wifey's career decision.  :D

Big family day today.  A rare occurrence.  Daughter is in from New York for a couple weeks.  She came to the house and Wife's son arrived too.  All four of us went out to breakfast and had a good visit.

Took the son home after then the womenfolk went shopping as I was allowed to drive and trail behind in the stores. Then carry the bags to the car.  Fun seeing them have fun.  Daughter calls my wife "Mom".  Doesn't have anything to do with her own mother anymore.  I don't like that, but have to remember I divorced her too.

Plans in the works for more shopping Thursday. Wheeee

OK, she needs to cook for me.  But I’ll return the favor and cook for all of you.

I said ‘cook’ Chirp, in case you thought I used a different word?

Oh OK, that can go in your mouth too. . . . .

Since I don't have a scorecard to tell the players apart, I will ask for clarification. Are you talking about the attorney of Japanese descent who is a wee bit bossy?

I hope she understands that being the head chef in a high end restaurant can be one of the most stressful jobs you can have. Don't be surprised if she comes home even more tired and stressed out than she is now.

That being said I hope it works out for the both of you. Doing something that you love takes a lot of stress out of doing it. I would advise against her making that special ice cream you talked about in another thread...  ;D

My stepmom, AKA mommies wifey, is a lawyer.  :D

Wifey is already head chef, so it's not new to her.

And yes, she's my Asian dictator.  ;D

Thanks for clarifying. I must have dropped the lawyers hat on the wrong head from whichever thread I read about her in.

Wait, do your mom and stepmom live with you too?
