Definitely not 37 degrees.  Mid 70's in Marathon, FL.

All the Floridians are complaining about how cold it is.  The 5 of us are loving it.  Most of the time on the water on jet skis or boating.  Windy yesterday and today though.   The gulf has been better than the Ocean.   Heading down Key West once everybody is up.  Going to be tourists today.

I adopted my daughters BFF because her mother preferred partying over parenting. And the 6 and baby Latina are also adopted.

Now CJ is most likely going to take another little girl from a negligent parent. I've been taking care of her since she was a baby. Her family doesn't seem to care. Her mother even tells her to just go live with  CJ. She's walked all the way here on her own AT NIGHT sometimes. She comes here hungry and neglected. Her mother just doesn't seem to care. Enough is enough. She's been with us for a while now. Her mom said "just get her stuff", but thanks to her, all her stuff was stuff I gave her. My mommies wife, a lawyer, is going to handle it from here. I want her in this family. Safe, warm and not starving.

I adopted a neglected a neglected one-year-old around a decade ago. She’s doing great today.

Thank God for a plumber who’ll make house calls on a Sunday.  Snaked the main sewer line (that still needs replacing).  Casa de Toe has running water, toilets that flush, and we can all take a shower.  The little things we take for granted.

My teen turned off the HVAC before leaving for grandma’s.  We were freezing our cajones off over the holidays.  I finally went to check the furnace.  It was 60° in the house.  Which isn’t Siberia cold, but cold enough.  Honestly, WTF?!?!

Use the wash stall in the barn (the water is hot enough), it's just a "little" drafty in the wash stall. not to mention that just about every horse in the barn (and the entire world) can see what you are doing.

 :D She's a wonderful girl. Not because of her family, but hopefully because of me. Since I've practically raised her anyway. The last time she came here on her own in the middle of the night she was freezing, hungry and crying. I almost had her mother arrested. She's been with us ever since and unless I'm ordered to return her, I'm not letting her go back. It looks like there won't be much of a fight put up for her by her family anyway. So unless I'm legally ordered to give her up, she's not going anywhere. CJ's gonna put up a hell of a fight for her.
