Spent the weekend camping with the gf and her family.  On Sunday we went to the Apple Butter Festival.  It just seemed like the appropriate dorky hick thing to do when camping in Appalachia, and it was very nice except it was brutal hot.  We ate BBQ, drank beer and of course bought apple butter and other dorky hick things all the while observing hillbillies in their natural habitat (Hey, my use of ‘hillbilly’ isn’t bigotry in this instance.  It’s one of those words you can say if you are one).

She has such a nice family, so all those conversations she and I have been having got me in the mood to join her family.  So I casually asked if she would like to look at rings on the way home.  The only smile I ever recall being wider at that suggestion was the smile she got latter when I selected a two stoner running at about two months of my take home pay.  Let’s just say it met with her approval.

We suggested to her family we all get together at a Peruvian restaurant next Sunday, where I will make it formal in front of her family asking for her brother’s permission.  Her family does not know.

Oh crap, am I really going to do this again?

And NO!  She’s not a stripper. . . . . at least not for the viewing public.

I don't normally wish ill on anyone, but...  anyone racing down a residential street with kids living on both sides of the street needs a wake-up call.  When they do it on Saturday afternoon, there ARE kids out on the street.

One of the local crack-heads lost control of his car at high speed just after the rain earlier.  He was going nearly twice the posted 30MPH limit on this residential street.  He jumped the curb and went head-on into a heavy-duty power pole.  The pole wasn't obviously injured.  The crack-head limped away from the scene before the fire department and cops got there and towed the hulk away.  One presumes he'll report a stolen car this evening...

And no, I'm not being a bigot.  He lives a few blocks down the road in the middle of crack alley.  That's where all the gunshots originate from down here, at least once or twice a week.

Oh, I don't like the speeders, RF.   What you have is ridiculous.   I get upset at the 10 mph over the limit drivers.  30 over, YIKES.

We have an elderly gentleman that lives down the street.  We have to pass him to get out of our subdivision.    He's out there most days waving his hands telling people to slow down.  He does it to me too.  Every time I look at my speedometer I'm 25 or less .... in a 25.  He gets so angry, hahaha.  



It's a beautiful day, maybe a trip to the cider mill for the best donuts and cider before a few friends converge on our house for NFL games at 1:00.
45 degrees, so chilly.  I think I need to make some chili.

Bought a dozen apple cider donuts the other day at a pumpkin farm/fun park.  They do melt in your mouth.

I came into work to discover I won $100 on a football square from the Lions game yesterday.

Everyone at work is happy that Ohio State was humiliated by Purdue on Saturday.

My assistant found out yesterday that her daughter is pregnant.

Everyone seems to be happy at work today.

Last night I caught wifey staring at me while I was fuckin' around on my tablet in bed last night. I looked over at her and asked her why she was staring at me. She told me she never wants to see my side of the bed without me there. :'(

"Sometimes you think I don't love you and that I'm some kind of a dictator. You never realize all the things I do are to make sure I'll never have to see your side of the bed empty. I can't ever be without you, so that's why we're going to die at the same time, white girl."

When she says things like that it washes away any anger I have towards her for being the Asian dictator.  :facepalm:

So why do you call her an Asian dictator again?  She looks nice, and seems ready to slice and serve sushi?
