Lessons From the Dog ParkHere we are, first of May. Temps in the upper 30s and a chilling mist falling. The two Bassets I'm a dog walker for hopped in the Basset Limo for their daily visit to the dog park.
There were only a handful of people and dogs braving the day. Us two-leggers were bundled up and grousing about the weather, generally feeling sorry for ourselves.
The dogs? Running and playing. Sniffing butts. Chasing each other and generally having fun. There was sniffing of the trees and fence to pick up the latest "message"...lifting a leg to leave a reply. In short, they didn't give a damn about the weather. They just took what they got and made the most of it.
There's so much we can learn from our "dumb" animal friends just by paying attention.
BTW: I did inform my two that it was a 3 - P day...Poop, pee and pack it in.
