I was snuggling with my grammy on the couch and were were watching Armageddon on TV. It's already a funny movie, but we both couldn't stop laughing at:

A day off!      It's been a whirlwind the last 3 days.    Still having a few family members over before they head back to California, but it is low key and we are just going to relax and hang about the house.   Maybe play some games with the kids while the football games are on.

The visit from hell actually turned out quite nice.    So, that made my day last week.  :)

It also made my day to log on this morning and see a familiar face that hasn't been on KB in a few months.    TinyDancer has been missed.

I hope everybody has a "Made My Day" moment some time today.

When I was reading thread about Obi's reaching 1,000 posts and I read MissB's reply a vision of her giggling made me chuckle.  Giggles are so fuckin' erotic!

Good brakes and common fucking sense!

Blowing down the 635E between Royal and Walnut Hill, traffic is iffy at the tag-end of Rush Hour.  I see a few cars ahead (not all) do a panic stop, so I gingerly hit the brakes (I'd left plenty of stopping distance).  Out of nowhere, a child's playhouse goes skidding across in front of me from the left lane towards the right lane.  The little bit of brakes turns into a little more brakes...  I missed it.  Not so lucky was the black Dodge Charger to the right of me that refused to slow for probable conditions (panic stops ahead).  Next time I look he's a couple of blocks back with the emergency blinkers on, in the middle of 5 lanes.

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

Take the express lanes. Less traffic!

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Dude in a Honda was driving 28 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. zone (most traffic drives 70+ in the area) on the way home today.  I pull up along side him and...  Yes.  He is texting.  On the Interstate.  Less than 50% of the posted speed limit.

In the words of the late, great Leonard Cohen  "If I had a rocket launcher ..."

That is all.

A friend sent me a picture of him and his two beautiful girls.   It just brought a huge smile to my face.

I was at the grocery store earlier today. There was a little old very elderly lady, trying to pick up a heavy large bottle of vinegar. I was right next to her grabbing another item. She could barely lift the large container. I offered to help, then suggested that maybe buying two small bottles instead of one large one would be easier for her. She was so cute and said, "Why didn't I think of that? Thank you my dear." It was really no big deal, but it made my day. :)

Wife decided to put up the Christmas tree yesterday. I came home and she was frustrated to no end. The tree is one of those pre-lit ones and about 4 to 6 rows of lights would not light. I took a cursory look at it and basically said we would look at it later.

This afternoon while she was out for a job interview, I decided to take that closer look and found a broken wire. A wire stripper, about an inch of electrical tape and a little bit of know how has resulted in the tree shining the way it is supposed to and very happy wife.

That is all.
