I went and bought something today.

Made me feel happy.

A Walther P22. Shoots .22 long rifle. A plinking gun.

Hey Katie......

if you can still find one (they are collector's weapons now).
Savage Arms used to make a great "bolt action" .22 cal. tube feed rifle.
The gun could handle a mix of rounds, short, long, long rifle all at once. you don't have to worry about what to buy for ammo. The biggest hurdle for you might be simply "do you like bolt action rifles". But all in all .22 cal. are fun to play with and are great for killing beer and soda cans.

Had a conversation with a dear friend that I love very much.   Wasn't sure which way it would go.   It went well.   I feel a huge weight off my shoulders.   She's so dear to me and didn't want to strain our relationship.

Going to change this subject to "What made your YEAR" for this post.

I let myself into my friends place.   She was talking with her mom on the phone and motioned for me to sit down and held up her index finger letting me know that she would be off the phone in a minute.  I could only hear her part of the conversation.

A couple of minutes later, her mom must have asked about me because my friend looked at me and said, "I'm really glad you like her, mom.   I like her too.    In fact, I'm pretty sure she's the one."

She paused as her mom responded then said, "Yes, I love her with all my heart.  I've never felt this way about anyone.   Julie is the person I've been waiting for.  I love her so much."

I had a pretty good today.

Getting home to find my sister with her hand on her fiancée's pregnant, barely baby bumped tummy. Sleeping in our bed, and the baby snuggled in her crib next to them.  :D
