We went to the park today, my four year old, baby and the dog. Weather was too nice to pass up. A woman and her infant daughter were there. She couldn't get the baby to stop crying, so I offered to see if I could since babies never cry with me. She let me hold her and I guess I worked my magic and she stopped crying right away. Turns out she just wanted to be held right, not bounced around. Her mom asked me to teach her how I did that  ;D

I fucking love being a mommy.  :D

I made one person happy today by spending 5 minutes going out of my way to return something that he'd lost (complete stranger).  The smile and handshake wasn't the big part, re-affirming to him that there ARE a few decent people out there was.  :D

Wife BBQ'ed us up some vittles, then we took the youngins to the fireworks show.

The babies eyes as she saw her first fireworks were truly amazing. She loved it. :D

Well, if Lois and Jules and Chirping Girl are all happy, then I'm happy. But the frosting on the cake for me is having stumbled onto Terence McKenna, who is maybe (probably) the craziest genius of the psychedelic scene. Love to hear him drawl away on YouTube about stuff that is beyond rational comprehension. That will keep me entertained for the next few years. That, and KB of course. He is a nice way to studiously ignore the stupidity going on in our national politics. I love crazy non-violent genius people.

Some fresh fruit I picked up an hour ago.   All washed and ready to be eaten.    The red grapes are so perfect - the last couple times they've been yucky tasting.   Happy that I'll be enjoying a nice fruit salad tomorrow around brunchtime.

Also, enjoying another hour of quiet time.   Everybody went to visit today with family today.
