WMMD #2 - As we were leaving the restaurant got a call from a friend. He'd picked up something for my wife she wanted and was dropping it off. Told him we be home in 10 minutes. Got to the front of the house and his truck was.there but no sign of him. Then I saw him back by the garage. He was shoving the back wall.
So we were able to get to the house with out wading through the snow that's falling.
Have I mentioned we have great friends.

Still not really feeling myself, but am feeling a lot better about things. Just needed some time to let it pass. It's not for any specific reason, it just happens from time to time. Yes the holidays and weather don't help, but they are not the cause.

For those who had commented and are wondering, Allan is not back together with his ex. They hooked up a few times, and now she's thinking they are getting back together. That's what he's telling me anyways. Whatever it is, I just dont want to be some side chick.

On a more serious note, and maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I find it a little strange that he's still hooking up with her here and there. Being friends with benefits with someone is one thing, but when you're still fucking your ex, that gives me the impression that he might not be over her, and the question of whether or not they're getting back together will remain until he breaks it off with her entirely.

We flew home for a couple of days and are now back in FLorida for the rest of the year.  M and little A are with us now. 
Big A is finishing up finals.  She will be down on Saturday, but will return home on 12/23 to spend Xmas with her mom.  Florida is great as usual. 

My time on KB will be very limited over the next couple of weeks.  I'll be on when I can find alone time.

What made my day is kind of lame, but its parental crack.  My middle daughter just got her accident settlement from three years ago, and wants me to come with her to the bank to work out what to do with it.  This is a major part of her future and she wants my guidance in how she goes about it, wants me present when she signs her papers and disperses the monies to her RRSPs, TFSA's, debt repayments and savings.

I know that sounds about as fun as watching paint dry, but for your grown child who has been living on her own for years to ask you to come and be there for her, and asks your guidance on her future, it is truly parental crack.

We are Canadian so the rules are a bit different.  It is "post tax income" but given the time of year, the best bet for her to to max her RRSP contribution, making her net income this year to zero, don't put any more in until the new year to do as much as she can with the next years allotment as well.  Take care of debts, but leave a sizeable nest age in rolling over terms so she will have money to hand if she really needs it, not immediately accessible, but not coming with crushing penalties for getting it out.

My high school alma mater won another Texas state football championship. Netflix actually did a series on the school called “Titletown Texas.” We have won more football titles than any other school in state history.

Yesterday, my childrens’ high school lost its first ever Texas state football championship game (different division). It took a 21-0 lead, and then blew it. The defending state champion kicked a field goal on the final play of the game to win by two points. A bitter pill to swallow.

This is from yesterday. I was still so buzzed about the Vikings win I forgot to post about the rest of the day.

We were still getting snow, but only small amounts. I'm not even able.to take care of that anymore but my neighbors come through for me. We heard the scraping of a snow shovel on the walk out front. As usual I went to the door to thank which ever lady was taking her turn at helping. Oh hey! Not one of the next door neighbors, but the guy across the street. Thanked him and chatted a bit then he proceeded to go to the back of the house and shovel the walk to the garage.

Early afternoon found us heading to the northeast corner of the Minneapolis. Or as it's usually referred to as Nordeast...don't ask. A friend was hosting a small Christmas party. Ended up just a neighbor couple, us and the two hosts. Got to see their new kitty. She's still nervous about her new home but is warming up to them. Having 4 strangers in the house didn't help. She did come close and sniffed both my cane and the wife's. No doubt smelled our cat  on the tips. Snacked on cheese and crackers along with cookies and good conversation.

Already talked in the NFL thread about our Vikings game, so no need...oh heck, yes I'm going to mention it again.
When we got to the party Vikes we're down 30-0 with just a couple minutes left in the first half. Later I found out the Colts got a field goal also before the half ended.

We were at the party nearly two hours. In the car ready to go home I checked again. Tied up in overtime!!! Had 25 minute drive home and made a check in the garage. VIKES WON 39-36!!!

Left the garage and next door neighbor was shoveling. She told us it was the biggest comeback in NFL history. Damn! Still don't know whether to be proud of the team for the comeback win or mad they started out so poorly.
Oh well... they won and will have home field advantage for the playoffs.

Yeah... lot's of what made my day yesterday. Today I rest.

I talked to my neighbor as she cleared my walks and said it was easy to shovel. Glad she got a break from the heavy wet stuff we'd had a few days earlier.

Got phone calls from my daughter and both sisters and several text messages from friends. Both sisters talked for over half an hour. Daughter and I talk on a regular basis, still had a nice chat.

Even tho' we didn't do anything special it was a nice day as I added another year to my lifespan.

I learned that sometimes the best birthdays are the ones where you have the time to sigh peacefully, and enjoy a moment of quiet. I mean we grow past the kiddie parties at family restaurants, or the pool parties at home. I think having parties is fine for some people, but a man of your distinction and caliber with your refined ways, should enjoy the quiet birthdays. Not saying you are weak or boring, but in a mans life when the world is constantly crashing down on us, that peaceful day celebrating your birth is worth more to me than an Everest sized mountain of gifts.

Also my dad used to say to me, after I got married, on my birthday's: "Glad to see the best parts stuck inside your mom that night." based off the old insult/joke about "the best parts of you were left on the bed sheets that night." I don't blame him, because like I always say and do, I was the one who knocked my GF up, and I took responsibility. But even though he was not going to let me live it down, it was oddly nice to hear that from him.

Also, what made my day Yesterday, was I learned to pivot and dodge my wife for the first time without falling on my ass. Because she has taken to jumping me in surprise when the mood strikes her. I swear, I wish I could move everyone here on KB into our house for protection from the random sex jumpings.Because lately when I dodge her, its Game Over as I would then be in the perfect place, on the floor, on my butt. Then she would have her way with me. For a big, Strong, man like me, I am surprisingly weak and fragile when it comes to her wanton urges. I must be very cuddly.

Today was the first time in 3 months I published a new chapter for my series Pharma over at RU.  I've been in a funk with that story for the last couple months and distracted myself with other works.  On top of that, I've dealt with RSI in my wrist and I'm breaking in a new keyboard, the ZSA Moonlander. 

It's not that I haven't written anything in the last few months.  I'm working on a screenplay for a video game that we're hoping to release in the first half next year, and I've worked on a story here but it's a departure from my normal style.  Since my partner in the game is taking time off to hatch a little side project, I'm using this break to plan out the next couple scenes and return to a couple things I wanted to write.  I'm still months behind on other stories, but getting back in the Harbor City Universe to launch the next few tales gets my creative juices flowing.  These past few days I went to bed way too late and amped up because I reached a part of the story where it ties everything together within the next few chapters.

It felt great to post a new chapter there.  RU is where I started as an erotic writer and where I honed my style.  I like to think I learn a little bit with each story, see where I can improve on.  Like Lee Harvey Oswald said "You miss all of the shots you don't take."  Or was that Wayne Gretzky?  I always get those two confused.
