MJ cleaning house 😎 🤠

What made my day was seeing so many members stand up for the board, for the rules, and against some crazy talk by a rogue member who has now been banned. As I told him, we are friends, we are an online family, and we look out for the board, and for each other. Seeing so many people step up to take action consistent with my feelings, really made me feel good. And I thank all of you.

I agree.  I came home from the dental office and thought, "wow, I f'n love these people."

Pornhubby mentioned 'online family', I couldn't agree more.  The thing about family is there is a lot of love, and on occasion a spat - sometimes minor, sometimes a bit more than minor.  I'm looking at Wildcat here. We had a difference of opinion in January, but today he had my -and the boards - back.  Thank you WC. This was a 'made my day' moment. :)  Family can put things in the past and support each other.

I know not everybody agrees with the rules, but I love that everybody stood together today in support of the enforcement of the rules.  When a decision is made, major or minor, it is not done lightly. I know there may be some backlash.  There have been a few things going on lately that have been weighing on me regarding the board.

There have been times I've felt a little overwhelmed with KB, especially during the month of December when I sort of disappeared and, unbeknownst to everyone, considered deleting my account.  I was going through some things and was ready to walk away from KB.  Only a couple of people know this but Dan and I actually broke up, from Thanksgiving through New Years. What a great time to be alone, right?    Didn't see or talk to each other for 5 weeks. I won't go into details, but when I finally did log in to KB and told those few people, the support I felt was amazing.  I haven't had that in years since I lost my big sister 7 years ago.  Like 'hey it's not just me', I had my online family.  Today I felt that again, like I had a bunch of big brothers and big sisters, and it swelled my heart.  Thank you.

And a bit more on that incident earlier today, Lujan took issue with Pornhubby saying, "You are not a moderator."  He's right, Pornhubby is not a moderator.  But he was.  He was actually the one to recommend me to Lois when a moderator was needed in the summer of 2016.  Due to real life situations he stepped down later that year.  Lois brought him back on as a moderator a couple of years ago. Pornhubby for his own reasons, stepped down again recently.  While he does not have the official title of 'moderator', he still helps me immensely in the running of this board.  He reports issues, he monitors stories, he educates people on the rules, and much more.  I can't thank him enough for all he does. In my eyes he's a moderator without the actual title.  Or maybe he could be consider assistant-to-the-moderator. 'Oh assistant, could you come into my office, some dictation is required'.

Army and Obi are also mods and I can't thank them enough either, or all the other mods, not just during my time here, but over the many years. They all played a part in shaping KB into what it is.  It isn't always easy, most of the time it's great, other times it really sucks.  But having the members all assisting in making our community what it is, makes it worth it.

That's all, and sorry if this post is all over the place.
Bottom line in case I didn't say it enough   THANK YOU!

That the posting of <UA stories or images on KB puts this board at risk is a fact. The rule about such posts is a no-brainer.

In my few months here on KB, I've been impressed time and again with the civility and tolerance extended by moderators to users pushing the envelope of what can and can't be done.

You and the other moderators, past and present, are doing a magnificent job keeping this board on an even keel. You have my respect and gratitude.

I love you, and I’ve always loved you. And you don’t have to say all that. But I do appreciate it. And I am so happy that you and “Dan” are working things out. Life is good. The bottom line is that everything is just the way it’s supposed to be. I’m a big believer in the saying “this too, shall pass,” because no matter how fucked up you think things are at the moment. This too shall pass.

I'm very happy to hear that Dan and you got back together. Also, that was a beautifully written post, and since it's just a few minutes into Tuesday now, I can already say that it made my [new] day :)

I decided to chill by listening to Lesley Duncan’s Moon Bathing and pulled the booklet from the CD jewel case to check the recording dates (1974-75). Imagine my surprise when this photo of Lesley fell out.

A nice touch, but also something of a puzzle, as the CD was remastered and pressed in Japan in 2016 by company called Céleste.

TIL. Lesley Cox (née Duncan; 12 August 1943 – 12 March 2010) was an English singer-songwriter, best known for her work during the 1970s. She received much airplay on British radio stations such as BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2, but never achieved great commercial success, in part because of her unwillingness to chase stardom, as well as crippling stage fright.

Thanks for that, PH. I didn't know that her married name was Cox, and it explains a great deal. Both the Céleste re-issue of Moon Bathing and the Cherry Red Lesley Step Lightly: The GM Recordings Plus 1974-1982 compilation (which I've ordered and should come today) list "Licensed from Tony Cox" in the credits. My guess is that the photo I found was one he'd taken of her and then sent to Céleste for inclusion as a bonus.

Definitely not easy, and made less easy by the worry of having the site closed down if you make a wrong move. I'd buckle under the pressure.

Waking up and finding out that both my girls had a very good time last night. What a great way to start Friday.

http://www.kristensboard.com/forums/index.php?topic=44669.0#msg623868

In other news, I had a healthy salad for dinner last night, abstained from alcohol, got to bed at a decent hour. I had a full night of uninterrupted sleep. Hey, it’s not sex, but I feel great today.

Neighbors got home from a week in Arizona. They reported big crowds. They left early one morning to drive to a hiking trail. When they got there the parking lot was already full!

They brought the dogs over this afternoon so wife got her puppy dog fix. Oh yeah...they had a sauna delivered. Told them I had my towel ready. :D

Nice having them home. They're a big help to us

WOW! What a great day yesterday. A friend of ours offered to take us touristing to Todos Santos, El Pescadero and Playa Cerritos on the Pacific side of the Baja Peninsula. He (I call him my wife's boyfriend) picked us up at about 9:30 and we headed out of town immediately. Took us about an hour to get to Todos Santos. Big difference in vibe between La Paz and TS. While La Paz is a city of about 250,000 (60% of which are government employees), Todos Santos has about 6500 persons and is for the most part a tourist town. Being that we have transitioned into the off season, the town was not busy and everything was extremely relaxed. Lots of old world architecture unlike La Paz which is more contemporary. After walking around, having a coffee and taking a photo of Hotel California (not in any way associated with the song by Eagles) we headed out of town. Did a drive through of El Pescadero before heading to Playa los Cerritos. I needed a bathroom break so we headed to a local drinking establishment that has a roof top terrace. The view of the beach was awesome. This is one of the best surf beaches in Mexico and arguably on the entire Pacific coast. Took in the view while slowly enjoying a margarita then it was back to El Pescadero. We drove to the restaurant we were going to have lunch at to be slightly disappointed that it was not opening until 3 PM (it was 2:20 when we arrived) so we walked a mile or so down to the beach. Playa San Perdito is almost as long as Cerritos but because it's not in a sheltered bay, the wave action was a little more violent. San Perdito is also a beach that sea turtles of some species come up to lay their eggs. Got back to the restaurant a little bit after 3 and had an extremely tasty lunch. This restaurant is so farm to table fresh that they grow their own vegetables and herbs.

After eating we headed back. This portion of the trip involved a very quick stop to take a photo of the Tropic of Cancer marker along the highway just south of Todos Santos. Got home just before 7 PM. Absolutely tired out and absolutely happy with the day.

That is all.

Gloomy weather but good day none the less. Had brunch and a nice visit with a friend.

On the way home near the airport spotted a large white plane parked at the Air Force Reserve base. Not the usual C-130.
Oh right...the President is in town today. It was Air Force One.

Mr Biden is here for a  memorial service for has friend and former Minnesota Senator Walter Mondale.

We went to a wedding shower.  My first in a long time.  The oldest (M) and me, and her mother (yes, Dan's ex). Longtime friends of theirs and still friends with Dan, and also her after their divorce.  I've been together with them multiple times.

I had a really nice time.  M was my interpreter as she is with no Dan around. One of the women at the table we were at could understand me almost immediately. Loved that.  I was impressed, it happens so infrequently.  She ended up switching seats with the person next to me and we chatted most of the shower.

The bride to be is on a weight loss kick.  80 lbs in a year.  Night and day difference.  She is doing fabulous.

Food was fabulous. Games were fun.  Fun day all around.  And I used to hate wedding/baby showers.

That too. Here in his home state he's still considered a Senator.

Same with his mentor Hubert Humphrey.
