I didn’t do a god damned thing today, and it felt great! I had 19 bench trials this week. Drove 500+ miles. I earned it, and it feels *so* good!

Fun gathering with several friends. A good friend and her husband hosted it at "the land" as it's refered to.

A few years ago they purchased ten acres on one of the few remaining rivers classified as wild and scenic. It was totally overgrown with ruins of an old house. Lots of brush cleared and trees thinned out so it looks like a park.

A year and a half ago they built a home with a nine foot wrap around covered porch on three sides.

Food was served. Friends roamed the property. Pockets of conversation gathered beside the river and the weather cooperated. Pretty much as perfect as a day can be.

Went to a cartoon/animation museum with my son and got ice cream.  It was a blast getting to see animation cells signed by the likes of Hanna and Barbara, Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng, Frank Thomas, and Ollie Johnston, etc.   Just amazing.

No. Just a lawyer.

Had a nice lunch with my oldest. He seems to be maturing a bit. He can actually stand being in the same room with his father for more than 10 minutes without being annoyed.

Thought this was an amusing sign of the times. Found this photo on a neighborhood app for sharing messages.

As fall approaches there's always talk about not raking leaves into the street. (Yes, people do that instead of bagging them)
The leaves then end up in the storm sewer and flow out to the Mississippi River. It's like dumping fertilizer into the river as the leaves cause more growth of water vegetation.

Here's a person who lives across the street from the river, a very tony neighborhood. They show concern about leaves getting into the river, yet have no problem dumping chemicals on their lawn which will also be washed into the Mississippi.

The leaves will not be falling here until November. But I must confess, I’m one of the people who pushes them out to the street. Because no one in my neighborhood bags. And I would no sooner clear the lawn, than a whole new set of leaves will blow in from next-door. Eventually, rain will take all of that down to the creek. I have no idea where it goes from there.

Live music and margaritas flowing like water. Had the best time out with my girlfriends. Mosquitos were terrible, but you just had to stick close to the repellent candles. I smells of citronella

Very slow day at work. Hardly any doggos to occupy my time, so it's just computer screens and paperwork. Why does this make my day, because with this hangover, a slow day is just what I need, plus that means all the pets are home with their families 🥰

Maybe go and "sweat out" the toxins when you get home from work. I'm sure you can think of a few ways to "exercise"  ;D :emot_kiss:

I use a paraffin wax that smells of lavender on my skin, and had made an comment about putting some on my growler to see if she gets extra soft, but the heat is very offputting the to thought.

To answer CT, no. Still coconutty... 🤔

Probably one of those things where the outcome is either 1) 'Oh shit, that hurts so good' or 2) 'Oh shit, I just burned another hole in my growler' and you don't want to risk #2 in the hopes of finding out whether #1 is true   ;D
