Haven't gotten tested yet.   He still has slight symptoms, so no reason to.  Maybe Tuesday.



My new thing, push ups.   So far today I've done 400 push ups.  Not all at once.  20 here, 20 there, and so on through out the day.  The first 10 are done properly, the next 10 on my knees.  Hoping to get them all properly.   Goal is 100 without a break.   Hopefully in 30 days.  My chest will be killing me tomorrow.  Dan said to chill and not go full throttle out of the gate.   But that's how I roll.

I'm thinking about getting tested for the antibodies. Hearing that you both tested negative but still had symptoms, or at least Dan is still having symptoms, perhaps I did have it last month.  I am a little worried because ever since then, I'll have a little flutter in my pulse from time to time.  It is a little unnerving.

As for 400 a day?  Good on you.  I dont think I did 400 the entire time I was in the Army.  I hate pushups.  Never been good at them and for a while I didnt even know how to do them correctly.  My hips would move and then my arms. Like I was trying to do the work backwards or somthing. I do planks and chair dips and even then I don't do more than a couple dozen.

And any guy here who calls the ones done on the knees "girl pushups" can kiss my ass.  I'm sure there's a pic around here of it somewhere

Dan still has symptoms, but he feels and looks so much better than he was on Tuesday or was it Wednesday.  I'm lost.

But I did get a solid 8 hours sleep last night.  And I made the best quacamole ever this morning.

Our power has been off.  Just our three houses on our side of the street.   2 days, they couldn't figure it out.  It's back on as of 11am, but wtf.

I'm sitting in my car in the parking lot waiting to see my dad come out.  He didn't want me in with him, and even if I used that stubbornness that I got from my dad, and tried to stay, I dont think they would have done anything with me in there.

I was a hit worried that my little childish outburst may have cost him something, but he said it didnt matter at all.  He also said that she was much more quiet than usual during the whole thing.  So I really hope that what I said stung.

All that being said, he will have to pay her somthing.  She had much more paperwork on medical bills and such, which is quite surprising seeing as it has been nearly 20 years since I lived with her.

Without giving too much detail.  He had offered her a certain amount to just drop it and leave us alone. But she thought she would get more so she pressed on.  She will be getting roughly 5% of what he had orginally planned to give her.

The last time I saw my dad smile that big, I had just come home from overseas. All my stress is gone any I cant stop smiling myself. So happy.

Businesses are starting to take down the plywood covering their windows. National Guard troops will be going back to their civilian life...back with families and returning to jobs. I can't begin to express my gratitude to our citizen soldiers who stand ready to help in time of disasters, civil strife or called to active duty. I hated hearing the criticism some people made of their presence. It did make the city seem like a military camp, but in my opinion it was better to have them and not need 'em, than to need 'em and  not have them...like last year while the city burned.

Another bright spot. Looks like work on our new gas station/convenience store is winding down. I drove past today and saw shelves being stocked! Been a year since we lost it.
 

They moved the location on the small lot and reconfigured the site so a larger store is now going to be available to us...soon!!!

My local gas station/convenience store is back!!!
 Out running a couple errands yesterday afternoon and drove past the Holiday Station Store that's been under construction  since January.
There were cars there at the gas pumps and other vehicles parked in front of the new store. It's back open after being destroyed in last years riots and looting. It wasn't enough to just break in at steal stuff. Everything had to be set on fire too.

They said it open Friday. Apparently after wife and I drove past after our workouts at the gym.

Still so many empty gaps where other businesses used to be. The large corporate owned places are getting rebuilt. It's the small independent places...many owned by minorities that haven't found the funding to rebuild. So much lost.

My good news is that I feel better than I did yesterday.  I bit of restless sleep, but after laying in bed for 11 hours and on-off sleep, I feel pretty good today.   My vaccine#2 shot effects are over with.
