I vote let Dan wear it.  I used to love it when jake would wear my Nelson jersey.  Ok so it was originally his, but I took it from him.  After "the game," it would smell like him until I had to wash it, and then I'd let him wear it again.

Today was my foster daughter’s birthday.  She has been pestering me for weeks about a new phone that she wants.  I was very coy, “Well I don’t know Devochka... it’s very expensive... I’m not sure.”

So I secretly bought it and arranged for delivery today. She was absolutely ecstatic.  It my warmed my heart to remember when getting something you wanted badly could bring such joy and excitement.

So I’ve been getting photos and texts and TikToks all day.  So happy to get them.  So sad because I haven’t seen her in a long while, and I really miss her.

Actually, it is What MADE my night - for the first time in two months I slept from 10pm until 5am.  The longest stretch, by far.  It was so good.

MJ - great to hear. I have spent many hours being tested by neurologists. They all say I have a problem but......no fooling.  Funny, the pain and nerve meds I am taking for this latest mishap has helped with the nerve issues in my legs.

During my run this morning I saw the beginning of the sunrise.  The sky started getting lighter and even though it was only 18° that little sliver of color brightened my day because summer is starting to make her way back to me. ;D

Yes, nice to see the sunrise early. Unfortunately, next weekend is Daylight Savings Time. But at least it will be lighter later.  8)

New neighbor on the block.


Meet Rosie...12 week old Golden-Doodle. Saw her out playing in her yard while out with the cats. Went over and "Mom" brought her over to our yard to see the wife. We had a good visit and my male cat gave the pup a good cat stare.

I wouldnt say it made my day, but it definitely had me laughing.  My dad asked me to come over tonight and help him set up an online dating account. When he mentioned adult friend finder, I lost it. He thought it was a regular dating site.  When I told him what it actually was, I could almost here him wanting to hang up the phone.

Sorry for going MIA since Wednesday afternoon.  We went to our cottage and don't have internet here.  We came into town for breakfast and I thought I'd check into KB real quick to let you know I'm still alive.

Weather in Detroit might touch 65 on Wednesday. Yay. We'll be back home late tonight.

Hearing from MJ truly made my day.  She usually says “hey, I’m going up to the cabin for a few days...” but not this time.  The mind left to wander will come up with some pretty horrible explanations.

And today is International Women’s Day.  Not a big thing in the US, but huge in Russia and the FSU. Schools snd businesses are closed. I like the holiday, because instead of honoring only mothers, all women are honored. It’s just a great occasion to make the ladies in your life feel special. How do you do that you ask?  I made a coffee cake.

I should’ve put that in what’s the last thing you put in your mouth. But this was an ingredient intensive undertaking. 3 cups of flour, two sticks of butter, a cup of sugar, a cup of brown sugar, 2 cups of powdered sugar, walnuts, milk, vanilla, baking powder... it seems like I had half the refrigerator in there at one point.  But it came out so good.  Warm and gooey... just like bukkake.

I, Jules, do solemnly swear to let you all know when I'm not going to log in for a few days.  Toe is right, I always usually let someone know, but nope, not this time.  And I totally understand why some of you were worried.  And I'm sorry.

As I said above, I meant to login during the car ride there but fell asleep and when I woke up, we were at the cabin. We don't have internet, we don't have cell towers.  All we have is a landline. We have to travel 20 miles into town to get a cell signal.

I know my health history isn't the greatest, and should have known me going missing in action would likely worry some of you.  If anything were to actually happen to me, Dan knows how to contact Toe through my spam gmail account.

Sorry, and I love you guys for caring so much about me.

Apology accepted, but I was ready to kick into my super sleuth mode, with all the databases that entails.  I tried to “be cool” for a couple of days, but when our Administrator and my co-mod said they had not heard from you also, I got very worried, just because it’s not like you to go MIA.  All good. Just got off the phone with my dad, told him about the dating site, and he wants me go over there tomorrow and try to help set up a profile.

Maybe he will.actually find somebody good there, because his last two wifes were just terrible.  He has awful taste in women.
