Beautiful day today. Sunny and 60. Cleaned out two major flower beds and was able to have my wine out in the sun on the patio. Makes my day.

Wifey's been making "smash burgers" that melt in your mouth at her temp job. She's, of course since she's a pro, taken complete control of the kitchen and reassigned and taught people how to do things right. The owner says he's terrified of this being over because there's no way she's sticking around for the lower pay. Apparently wants to offer her total control of everything if she'd consider staying.

I doubt it very much. But I'm so proud of her for doing what she has to do to make money so we don't have to destroy our savings.

"I smell like cheeseburgers and french fries". 

To some that's like perfume.

Thanks Vinney, Toe and Staci. Yes it is kinda crazy here though down south where I live the city is not yet in panic mode unlike Delhi.
Even though me being a H1N1 survivor puts me in the high risk category I live in a flat in a small colony. So exposure to others is limited to deliberate acts or plain stupidity  
Feelings are running high against the latter sort to be honest and to risk sounding racist coz there are quite a few who insist on gathering for Friday prayers. I really cannot understand how endangering the lives of others can be (any) God's will!

There are those who insist that their Imaginary Friend is in charge of everything and controls everything.  So I ask, “What the fucking kind of Imaginary Friend do you have?  Who is killing 60,000+ people with Coronavirus?!?”  “Oh, we just don’t understand God’s ways...” “I don’t understand your desperate need to continue believing in Santa Claus.”

We have had so many church members, choir members, even pastors struck down by COVID-19 here recently.  God will help those who help themselves.  Stay safe.  Shelter in.

Last night, Brian dropped off food at my door from my favorite local restaurant, sent me a text to let me know it's there.  This morning he dropped off a breakfast sandwich and a small cup of coffee.  Sent me another text apologizing for how he was acting.

All the grown ups decided to indulge in some expensive wine tonight.

My sister and her wifeys glasses were a little fuller. They're on the front line of this shit. Our heroes. Weird that I still cringe watching my sister drink it thinking I should snatch it away and scold her. Have to remind myself she's an adult now. Married and has a kid and a career.

I'm so old. There is nothing left but dry bones, and dead friends.

My sisters wifey reacted to Boris Johnson and the queen trending on Twitter by putting on her adorable American accent and saying "I'm an American citizen now, I couldn't care less about foreigners". 

She's really been trying to drop her British accent recently. She just doesn't get that we don't want her to because she sounds so cute with it.
