Today, at 52 years old, I picked up my first ever new car.

Congrats, if you don't mind my asking, what did you get?  You're about 15 years too young to retire so I know it's not a Corvette

PUPPIES  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Have two litters of puppies coming in today.  I may not be the one working with them, but you'd be a fool to think I'm not going to be in that room at least a little bit.

All 5 Irish wolfhounds will be going home today.  The owner said they got into something in their shed, didn't say what, but they are all good to go and will be leaving before noon ;D

Shiela shows how she and the new intern at her clinic worked to save the Wolfhounds.

I really didn't do a whole lot, changed IV's and made sure they stayed clean. But thanks  :emot_kiss:

You're like a glimpse into my 7 year olds future. She decided long ago to be a vet. She loves animals, would take in every homeless critter in the world if she could.

I love them too, but it's not all puppy dogs and rainbows.  They don't all pull through like the wolfhounds and sometimes you have to be there to end suffering when the quality of life is no longer there.  But that is for the "ruined your day" thread.  Today happy puppers and happy "paw"rents.

She knows. But she still wants to help them even if there's no saving them.

16 appointment cancellations today.  For safety it's too cold to bring any of our boarded dogs outside except for bathroom purposes.  I've literally been sitting in a kennel with a corgi ready sex stories and chatting with you all. And getting paid for it.  Sometimes life is Goooooood  :D

I had a flat tire yesterday.  Discount Tire warranty covered the replacement.  $11 charge to dispose of tire old tire.  Sidewall was tearing along the rim.  Lucky there wasn’t an accident.

CJ got a late valentine from one of my neighbors daughters. She apologized because she didn't have time to give it to me yesterday.

It was just a piece of paper and a picture I took with her back in October. It was so sweet. I had to put it on display. Next time she visits she'll get to see where I put it.  :D

So CJ got a hug, kiss on the cheek and a sweet note and picture for valentines day. Not that my tribe wasn't also sweet and all that, she's just kinda special because we're not related. And I gave her something nice too.  ;D

Took the tribe to the park today! The sludge is melting, there's no wind and the sun is shining. The dog wouldn't go in the mud though, good doggo.  ;D

Long text session with sister. Got home from hospital Friday, a week after triple bypass surgery.

Other than feeling like she's been hit by a semi, doing fine. Sent video of her dog coming home from kennel. Joyous reunion!

Her daughter in law has helped a lot.

Hope to go down for a visit, after she's feeling stronger.

At Toe's suggestion I'll have a "Zipper Club" tee shirt for her. :D

So sweet.  I hope she enjoys it.  I wore mine frequently post surgery.  Not so much anymore.  I’m coming up on 3 years, post quad-CABG.  I have never felt better, and of the various things I worry about now, my heart isn’t one of them.

Sounds like one of the Bassets I took to the dog park. Ruby would splash through the puddles and jump in the swamp.
Gus would go around the puddles and only time he'd go in the swamp was when chasing another dog. He liked staying clean.
