Finally got the laser-scattering particle detector (dust sensor) this last week and hooked it up.  Spent a few hours today debugging code to get it to turn on, cough up it's data, upload that to a web logger, then go to sleep for 15 minutes (repeat).  Now I need to flesh that out a bit more.  The temp/pressure/humidity sensors are across town headed my way (plane came in today), so I'll add that in next week.  The last piece is the display, and they haven't left Shenzen yet, even though they were ordered the same time as the rest of the stuff but from different vendors in China.

Wow, the dust sensor is TINY.  It's a quarter the size of the DISPLAY on the big box I'm replacing.  

Yep, size matters!.  :emot_laughing:  Bigger isn't always better.  $15 for the sensor, $4 for the micro, $5 for the temp/pressure/humidity sensor, and $6 for the display to replace a >$3000 piece of gear.  Mine won't have a heavy cast aluminum chassis, but that's OK.  If they drop it and break it, it only costs $32 to replace it.

OK... I waivered back and forth on where to post this.  Here, or what ruined your day  :facepalm:

Anyway, wife is home after hip replacement and Rehab..a little over two weeks.  :D
Nice to have her home and not running to visit every day.

Just that now I once again have to put up with the TV being on 24 f**king hours a day...yes she even sleeps with it on. Glad we're in different rooms.  Cats are happy to having things back to normal. :D

Speaking of Latinas, I just saw Peruvian American actress Isabela Moner from the movie Sicario:  Day of the Soldado turned 18 a couple weeks ago.  Maybe now I can finally not feel guilty perving on her.  I first heard of her about 6 months ago and winced when I looked up her age.
