CJ got her hair did up 80s style like my mommy had.  ;D

Everyone fucking hates it!  :emot_laughing:

"What did you do to your beautiful hair!" My mom screamed.

I like it. I'm gonna add pink to it.  8)

Purple. CJ is definitely a purple.

But hey, it's your hair, anybody that doesn't like it... too bad.

A Mother's Day gift.

A coffee cup made in 4th grade art class.  There are 7 different colors in it.  It was hand formed into its shape (it sort of resembles a cylinder).  I can't fit even one finger through the handle.   I made a cup of coffee and it leaked on the counter.

Best Mother's Day present ever.   Told her it was too beautiful to be used, it should be displayed on a shelf.

Also, I'm not on Facebook, but Dan showed me both of his daughters posts.  They both mentioned me saying how lucky they were to have me come into their lives, and much more.  I got teary eyed reading what they wrote.  Such great kids.  I love them both so much.  Dan and his ex did a wonderful job raising them.

The kids cleaned their own rooms for me. Except the 7 just kinda shoved stuff under her bed. But it's the thought that counts.  :D

Spending all day with my grandson... even managed to get him to sleep for half an hour or so.  Great day, but I'm knackered now!

The coffee cup is priceless.  I can't wait to see what Father's day brings.

Julie, the girls are lucky to have you.  One thinks of you as a best friend.  One grows closer to you every day.

Thank you for being a mom to all three of them.  Thank you for caring for and about my kids.  Our kids.   You're doing great.  They are three lucky girls.

Trip off to great start. Nearly 600 mile drive. Tomorrow hit the National Park. Went out to dinner. Whole town in Old West motif. The restaurant looked like a saloon complete with bar. I had to!
Went to bar and in a fake cowboy accent said, Can I get a sarsaparilla barkeep?"
She smiled and said, "Sure!"
I gasped and said, "You really have sarsaparilla?"
They did, and I got one, just like my cowboy heros when I was a kid.

My sisters wifey misplaced her wedding ring for about 5 minutes. She had a mini meltdown when she realized. My sister comforted her and promised they'd find it, and they did. She put it right back on and promised she'd be more careful.

I loved her explanation why she had a freak out.

"This ring is a big part of all my dreams coming true."

First day in T.R.Nat. Park a thrill. The rugged hills and cliffs of the Badlands are fantastic! All the color of the various layers is a sight.  Big problem is picking which shot to take. Any where we looked was a great picture.
Lots of Bison, naturally.  Was taking pics with two others of a small herd from a parking area.  Next thing we knew the big shaggy beasts were moving into the lot with us. We all got back in our cars and soon the Bison were all around us. Got some good close ups...from the car!!!

The musical Waitress is in Detroit playing at the Fisher Theater.

It was one on our season subscription shows that I was least excited about.  I hadn't seen it before.  I didn't even read up on it before going, so I had no idea of the plot.  The only think I did know going in was that the music and lyrics was by Sara Bareilles.

I'm always amazed at the stage settings and how quickly they can change them.  Nothing elaborate like Wicked or Newsboys.  It just felt like I was right there in the diner with them.  It's so cool.

I really enjoyed the entire production.  It was a fun night out with plenty of laughs.  And I am craving Pie this morning.

Was planning TR NP as a trip recently along with the Missouri Breaks NM and Glacier NP in Montana.  There’s a mountain range south of Glacier called the Chinese Wall I wanted to hike (see below).

The trip sort of got postponed after I met my Peruvian.  She and I will do it together, just might be a a couple years away.

I was recently in the Badlands of SD, love that place.  As a kid, no bison.  In 2016, I was threading my truck through a herd of bison to get to camp.

Later this year we’re going to Acadia NP in Maine for about 8 days.  I’ve been there 4 times, the last time about 20 years ago.

That looks like quite a challenge Jed. Better you than me, I'm too damn old. Looking forward to hearing your tales about it.

My 7 year old hugging me and saying "I'm so happy to be alive!"

And there are women on Twitter bitching about how they need the right to abortions. If the woman who made her had one, I'd have never gotten that hug. I'd have never gotten any hugs. And I wouldn't be watching a 3 year old Latina play with my 7 year olds cat right now either. And I wouldn't have to change a diaper pretty soon.

They are proof why we don't need abortion, just common fuckin' sense.

Withdrawn.  You know that's a decisive issue, and I don't want to fight in the "What made your day thread."
