Day 41 -   My coworker brought me in half of a birthday cake because, as she explains it, Sept 10, is my half birthday.   My real b-day is March 10.   Anyways, the cake was really good.   I've been avoiding sweets and well, again, it was so f'n good.

Day 43  ...   Dinner to our favorite touristy Michigan town for dinner.   Zehnders in Frankenmuth for Bavarian style fried chicken and some f'awesome buttered noodles.   Lin and I were joined by Michelle's parents, my parents and my sister-in-law.   
Can't wait for leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Day 43 (part 2)... Tigers are back in first place by 1-1/2 games.

Day 44... A very nice compliment paid to myself by someone.   I wish that the person that paid me this compliment knew how much it affected me today.   She really lifted my spirits.

46... A birthday card in the mail, that led to a phone call to an old friend that we lost touch with.  Sad at first, but a promised visit from her in a couple of weeks.

Day 47... Sad... Been watching the re-run of the MASH series on TV... Radar O'Reilly departed... Yeah so it's only  TV but Radar was a real character in the series and joins so many other stars who moved on...

48...Happy to pull in the driveway from work.   Seemed like a long f'n week.   Lin is at a sleepover.  I came across an old VCR tape when rummaging through a basement box yesterday...Animal House.   Also found a DVD of the first drive-in movie M and I ever went to together...Forrest Gump.  My evening is planned.
