Day 30-33... Nothing good to report.

Day 34 - rec'd a thank you letter from Michelle's favorite charity that we had asked friends and family to donate to in her memory - and in lieu of flowers for the memorial service.  The letter mentioned that over $7500 was donated in her memory.   Was truly blown away by this.  Michelle would have been extremely touched by this, as I am. 
I know the bulk of it had to have been her parents very well off friends, 'cause I know it wasn't my cheap ass friends.   :D

Forgot about day 32... My Kuerig of 6 years took a shit.   SOB, first thing in the morning.   I went and bought a new one at Kohls.  They just came out with a new model a few days earlier.  I like it a lot.

Day 35... Cop pulled me over after I picked up Lin from my sis-in-laws.  65 in a 45.   Happens to be an Asian cop that comes to my window and asks for my license and registration.   He sees Lin in the back seat and says "Hello" to her in a kind voice.  She says, "Hi.  You look just like a man I know in China."  He asks how she would know someone in China.   I explain that M and I adopted her 18 months ago.   He asked a few other questions about the adoption and explained that his mother still lives in China.  He patted me on the shoulder and said, "Slow it down, dad."  Then said goodbye to Lin and went back to his vehicle.   No ticket!!!   Very happy!   My neighbor said a 20 over would have been about $200.

Happy days, you should put that $200 in a savings account for Lin, as when she is old enough she may come to you and say Dad remember that time I saved you from a ticket, well I got one  ;D

20 over the limit (along with over 80 anywhere) is Reckless Driving in Virginia... about $350 for a lawyer who practices in the same town as the judge, plus another $200 to $300 for a "faulty equipment" or some other substitute charge and fine.

No Points, if you work it right, which is why you need the lawyer who knows the local courts. Better, you have Lin... great story, Joe.

37 & 38.  Fun days with my daughter. 

39.  Left work early and went to the Tiger game.  It was a win against the Royals.  About the 7th inning, walked across the street to see the Lions beat the NY Giants.

7 hours of sleep last night without waking up, and without the help of a sleep aid.  Very happy.   Haven't had a full nights sleep since late May.
