Germany did the job on USA, kicking any flair off the pitch. I think it will be one of the South American teams, Brazil is still the favourite.

As you put USA down please remember this.

Germany Vs. Portugal 4-0
USA Vs. Portugal 2-2
Germany Vs. USA 1-0


By all means from the numbers and the player skill, Portugal is a better team and Germany is the superior team in our group play. USA is moving on and Portugal is not.

USA has no star players, Portugal does. Both teams had major injuries to players yet Portugal still had their star player.

Yes.  The eight groups are now in a single elimination round. The USA play Belgium on Tuesday.
