The few 80 year olds plus that I know are not owners of sports teams or have huge egos.  Unfortunately, they have more severe problems that make communicating with them difficult.

Owning a sports team doesn't grant you additional use of your faculties as you age...unless the nba has some kind of kick ass health program I dont know about.

Does anyone see this as setup? Stiviano was being sued by the estranged wife. Whether she is an assistant, she is working more like an escort. I am not suggesting sexual  activity. As a friend of escorts, some have rich elderly clients that seek and pay for help in different ways, and the Sterling/Stiviano relationship mirrors this type of courtesan-ship. These types of relationships have unspoken rules.

So now, the courtesan is sued by the estranged wife. The client is unable to stop and violates and unspoken rule of causing hardship because of the relationship. The courtesan, with short term wealth, cannot fight a lawsuit that takes time. This outing is the payback for the lawsuit. Stiviano tapes the conversion with the intent to draw out comments to make life miserable for the old man.

The ban was obviously a pc move, but It is going to be a very long drawn out legal process,.  CourtTV get ready.  It's gonna be legal hell

Interesting, but how does Mrs. Sterling get to speak for her husband?
Neither the Trust nor Mrs. Sterling have any control over Mr. Sterling.
And I sincerely doubt he "signed" his rights away to anybody or anything.
My gut feeling is that this is far for over.

I read where Sterling is appealing the sale so all of this may not be settled until the Supreme Court hears it.

It's over.  It's been over.  The team is sold.  The NBA Governors approved the sale.

The Clippers sale is now complete: Steve Ballmer is in, and Donald Sterling, at long last, is out
