I was drug along to a wedding shower. Of course I did not actually attend the shower myself so I found a nearby library to pass the time. While browsing the books I was suddenly attacked by a very serious case of IBS. I stood in one of the aisles clenched as hard as I could, frozen incapable of moving. I wasn't able to take even the smallest step towards the bathroom. While I gallantly and heroically defended my underwear, the outcome was inevitable. I ended up losing the war and I lost big, very very big.

Well, let me tell you. Take a big bowl of chili and pour it down the back of your pants. That's pretty much how.

It was comedy and tragedy.

I change diapers every day so I know you what it's like to get a noseful of poo. But for an adult to shit their pants  :emot_laughing:

Maybe should not have admitted that.

I hate centipedes.   They are one of my biggest fears.

I hate wearing rings or anything on my fingers and wrists.   I've returned gifts of fitbits, watches, bracelets, etc.      But I love my necklaces.

When I was younger, my father and I would shoot skeet in a league at his gun club, I learned how to load my own shells.  We bought a shell reloader.    I'd gather up the used shell casings and reload them.  It was my first business - reloading and reselling the shells.   Made about $1000 before the club shut down my selling operation on premises because it was cutting into their sales.

I recently got hit on by a young, extremely girly feminine "boy" who I thought was a super flaming gay. Turns out... not so much. Acted gay. Acted glamorous and elegant like my mother   is not gay.

I wanted to be an artist.

I play team fortress 2 and get laughed at for being a girl by children who shouldn't even be playing it.

I live in hope and exist with disappointment.

I hate gardening.

I play Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad, Rising Storm, and Heroes of the West, under a pseudonym.

I have never heard of Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad, Rising Storm, or  Heroes of the West.  ;)

I have never really played video games.   Probably last time I did was Donkey Kong about 20 years ago.   There is a Wii in the house, but I haven't played it.

My niece has become addicted to Pokemon Go.   I've put it on my phone so that we can play together (because she is dragging me out when I get home from work).   So, I'm now playing my first video game in 20 years.

This is not my work.

For the last 12 years, I like to stack rocks at places I go.   So if you happen to visit Linville Falls in NC.  You might see some of my work.   I do this wherever there are loose rocks laying around.   I always do 5 rocks.

In the house I lived in a couple of years ago, I had a 'rock' garden.  In it there were about 80 stackings that I had.

The largest rock stack I have built contained 32 stones.

She didn't say that. She said she hates gardening. Killing plants is not the same as not wanting to do the work to keep them alive.

I hate gardening as well.

I wanted to be a military pilot when I was younger (being extremely near sighted killed that dream).

Along with my wife, we are 3 cats shy of being crazy cat people.  ;D

That is all.

Maybe markers that say you have passed this way.
Or markers left for others to follow.
(How old are these stone stacks..??)

Liz

…For the last 12 years, I like to stack rocks at places I go…

…I always do 5 rocks…

Interesting! I first discovered this practice during a holiday on the Isle of Skye in 2010. I was away from the car, taking photographs, when a local mentioned to my wife that there was something else of interest just along the coast from where we were parked. I duly walked to some rock outcrops and found these piles constructed of five rocks, or thereabouts…

We mentioned them to our hosts later in the day. They had no idea what these constructions were supposed to represent. We found others near the Falls of Measach in the Corrieshalloch Gorge, near Ullapool; which were shorter piles of smooth stones.

What is the inspiration for making these constructions?

It started as a Zen thing.    As for myself, I did it because I thought it was fun, cool and looked pretty.
I find the flattest rocks.   I've seen some stacked tall like that in your picture, but it never appealed to me.
5 is my favorite number, that's why I do 5.   No idea why all those in the picture have 5.  No correlation between mine and that.
At home in my old garden they were all different heights and numbers of stone.
When I do it out in the world.  I always do 5.   It is not easily noticeable, doesn't take away from the scenery.  But then when someone does notice it, it's like a little cool discovery they have just made.  A little bit of nature art if you will.
