The three of us went to a great brunch this morning. The place was packed. The owner, who knows us, took one look and led us right to the last table.

I felt a little bad about jumping ahead of the others waiting. A little.bad, but I sucked it up.

Food and service was great as usual. I had.eggs, hash browns and sausages with sourdough toast. My blood sugar numbers were extra low today so opted to go wild and ordered a carmel roll that filled a plate.

Wife took a bite and stepson a big hunk. Still left a huge roll for me dripping in carmel. See what my numbers look like tomorrow.

Great Mikey, Now I'm craving a Grilled Ham and Cheese. With a kosher dill spear.

But I'm in the middle of a smoothie. Strawberries/Blueberries/Kiwi/ProteinPowder(Vanilla)/Almond Milk/15callorieCranberryJuice/Flax Seed/Chai seeds/and some green has everything powder. It's so good.

I got a partial payment from SSA. Celebrated with two Chicago dogs from the Wienerschnitzel. Not proud of it, but Anthony Bourdain said “there’s nothing to be ashamed about a good hot dog.”

There is a place in southern Milwaukee that specializes in hot dogs and such. I can not remember the name of it though. My friends work with a doctor who LOVES eating there. He loves hot dogs so much he wears socks with hot dogs on them... seriously!

Anyways. I went there once, and got a Chicago dog. The only one I ever ate, and i really liked it, and now I am craving one.

It does have the pickle spear, the mustard, the relish, the onions, the tomato slices, and most importantly, those two pickled chili peppers. It is a delicious mouthful.

I got a little homesick looking at that picture, and that Texas joint nailed it. That's a Chicago hot dog.

Note: Mustard, but not ketchup. Never, ever ketchup.

Portillo's is one of the most famous hot dog places in Chicago, and here's what their dog looks like:

Here's the description from their web site:
