I made French bread pizza. I feel like it’s a frequent use I make of an older French baguette, yet my Peruvian of nearly 4 years had never had it.
I mentioned my moussaka to her this evening, saying I wanted to make that. Again it’s a dish I’ve made for years, yet she’s never had me make it for her. I omitted it has eggplant in it, because she thinks she doesn’t like eggplant. She’s just never had pan fried eggplant smothered in layers of spiced ground lamb and Béchamel sauce. The spices I use for my moussaka reminded me of pumpkin pie, so one day years ago I added a layer of roasted pumpkin to this pasta free lasagna. It worked fantastically, so I’ve repeatedly done it that way.
Most people I know make a few dishes and repeat them over and over. I repeat dishes too, except there must be a couple hundred of them, always evolving.
