Well actually it was our US hosted message board that said it was Thanksgiving, I just assumed it was the last Thursday in the month yesterday(having not looked at the calendar.) Thanksgiving, reason no # 307 why Americans are very odd, having a annual holiday in the middle of the week.

You're right, but many employers give people off the following Friday, thus creating a four-day weekend.
