Funny. Reminiscent of Bloom County.

Vote the Meadow Party! Bill & Opus, '16!!!

I miss Berkely Breathed... Fun guy to actually meet in person though he had already quit Bloom County and was writing for a yachting magazine (prior to outland).  I asked him why he quit and he said it was simple: he looked at Snuffy Smith, Family Circus, Beetle Baily, Haggar, etc.  None of them had done anything original in 20 years. It was the same recycled comic told twenty different ways. Nothing ever evolved or grew up (which is why he liked For Better or Worse).  "When I started to run out of idea's I realized I was starting to do the same thing. I'd rather kill my cartoon at it's prime than to end up like them."

I can't blame him.

Back to your original politics already in blasting. :)

The trouble with reality is the lack of background music!

I have yet to figure out what the exact problem with genetically altered food is.

After all, you have been eating it your entire life.

Yes. Didn't you know? The Vatican is a sovereign state. Of course what is really happening, is in a cost cutting move, initiated by Bush, they moved the Vatican embassy into the Italian embassy, which is 1.9 miles closer to the Vatican. The two embassies maintain separate entrances.

Exactly... and that is the story of how we got eight years of Bush.

You may not like Obama, or even want to pretend he is "not American", but to consider a Constitutional law professor "stupid, is quite a stretch for even an average imagination.

No he is smart enough to be able to fuck over America by using the constitution.  He's just a fucking socialist piece of shit that we have to try and thwart for 3 more years. Oh and he has really no more cred as he has shown no leadership. :-)

Oh you can be very well educated and still be very stupid.
Also, I've never been a birther.  The whole conspiracy theory behind just never made sense to me.

However, a very fine example of stupid would be the Affordable Care Act.  A badly thought out idea, mixed in an impractical implementation, wrapped with unobtainable goals.  We do need to fix health care, but this plan is stupid.

Despite the fact that is is working quite well in states that have their own exchanges (mine for example)... you must be right. IT MUST BE "STUPID" - I excitedly await YOUR brilliant solution...

Actually Gia, I hate to burst your bubble, but the "self financing" idea of the ACA is already in a death spiral, which was predicted by every economist that was asked about it.

The only way national health care could work would be as a one payer system, which is political poison.  So in the foreseeable future, nothing is going to happen that works.  The reasons are simple, and I'm a prime example.

I'm a student, my wife works and I have my own income, yet my taxable income is BELOW the level that the system will subsidize ANY part of my premiums.  Under ACA the premiums for the lowest level of care would be $684 a month, with an $8000 deductible.

Now considering that the government standards say I'm in the group the ACA is designed to help, how do any of those numbers make even basic health care affordable?
