I believe I said this before, but here goes.
ACA was a good intention, and I agree that this nation does need universal health care for all legal nationals and citizens. However the ACA is a badly thought out, poorly implemented, half measure.
The only portion of the ACA that may actually work as planned is the change in the insurance laws that negates the insurance companies "pre-existing condition" clause. The ACA was intended to be self funding, but will not be. It WILL end up being a major drain on the budget, and eventually will have to be curtailed or cancelled due to budgetary shortfalls.
The problem is that Washington knows all this, but refuses to make the politically unpopular decisions needed to get anything done.
That goes for both Democrats and Republicans.
