MissBarbara the President didn't 'mention' proud boys..biden and  wallace did..then the president replied

when trump replied to wallace that he would indeed condemn white supremacists he said SURE, who, which one, what do you want me to call, them?  I want Peace....
then either wallace or biden or both say proud boys,, proud boys...trump says ok,ok proud boys stand down stand back whatever, but the real problem we have right now is these left wing extremists who are burning down our cities and looting and rioting, something needs to be done about them..

trump never heard of these guys proud boys..it was obvious.

the president has condemned racism and white supremacists over 20 times, on video, documented.
why on earth would wallace demand he do it again when there is no issue with white supremacists going on...we have an obvious problem with left wing extremist groups committing arson and breaking and entering and looting RIGHT NOW , currently so why on  earth did he not ask biden to condemn these groups??..but instead asked the President an irrelevant question that has been answered 20 times already?

not than any of this is going to make you start behaving or thinking like a logical american person or anything,,dont know why i even bother :roll:

People in the GOP and in Trump’s own campaign stated Trump didn’t condemn white supremacy when asked.  It was referred to as a ‘layup’ that he missed.

And Trump won’t condemn them, ever, because he views them correctly as being on his side.

Here are Trump's exact words from the debate:

"Proud Boys — stand back and stand by. But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s got to do something about antifa and the left."

That certainly sounds like a "mention" to me.

Trump himself admitted the exact opposite. In an interview two days after the debate, he asserted:

"I don't know much about the Proud Boys, almost nothing, but I condemn that."

Though, to be fair, in that same interview, Trump explicitly condemned the Proud Boys:

"I've said it many times, let me be clear again, I condemn the KKK. I condemn all white supremacists. I condemn the Proud Boys."

You can take from that statement what you will. Keep in mind that after the 2017 protests in Charlottesville -- an event that the Proud Boys attended -- turned violent, President Trump asserted, "You also had people that were very fine people, on both sides."

Did Trump consider the Proud Boys to be "very fine people" in 2017?

The GOP has been playing footsie with these groups for generations.  Condemnation publicly, but with a wink wink, nudge nudge.  And no one does that wink wink, nudge nudge more emphatically than Trump.  They’re on his team, and he knows it, and that’s all that really matters to him.

And once he loses next month, we’ll see what he means by asking them to ‘stand by.’
