I found out the awkward way that someone I know was also on here...lol she came up to me and just started talking about a post I commented on. She smiled and walked away but I havent said much to her since. It wasnt a topic I would talk about other than here... Awkward

I struggle with this permanently; I don't wish to make trouble for myself almost wilfully, yet also resent the fact that a perfectly acceptable aspect of being adult cannot be linked to me as a person because of outmoded prurient attitudes by some.  My job and my private life are different, they should have no bearing on each other.

However, I do acquiese, and maintain two profiles in life, going along with the vindictive Daily Mail-isation of life.  One day adults will be able to be exactly that without fear of censure by petty minded ingnoramuses.

I must confess I'd never considered the angle of sexual predators.  Nor any other type of predator come to that.  My concern hasn't been so much with reputation, as perception and slur.  I will take some time to think, but I suspect I will still believe, although not enact, that we should all be able to be honest online as in real life.  I'm an untamed idealist you see.

I have found that most in here are pretty much like me and I let down my guard a little.  Thanks for the advice.  I will be more careful from now on.
