If Elvis is the King Of Rock 'N Roll and Michael is the King Of Pop, then who is the King Of Hip-Hop? I'm just asking your opinion, so you don't have to quote Stats unless you want to.

Rolling Stone named Eminem the king last year. Money wise, Dr. Dre

Ice Cube cause not only is he in music, but also movies, TV and commercials he's all over the place.

Eminem was the one name that had come to my mind also. I haven't heard Dr. Dre doing much musically as of late, Snoop Dogg isn't as big as he once was, though like Ice Cube he's branched out into movies. All i see of Ice-T now is Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. I can't really think of any other hip-hoppers off the top of my head...

I think these guys deserve at least an honorable mention:

allow me to rephrase that
the person who would be considered unattractive by everyone with functioning eyesight was behaving like a troll
the subject of this thread was to determine who was deserving of the title "King of Hip-Hop", and he instead decided to insult the entire genre

And again with insults....To hard to put together a constructive argument?

He was only pointing out that this type of question is something that he does not care about. MANY people don't like labels or a certain type of music and even though it's not stated, one of these could be the reason. I dislike country music and would have the same reply if it this thread was directed towards that type of music, yet you would rather put the member down instead of trying to find out the reason for the original reply.

AS for the troll comment, only one troll really replying here

One way I saw it explained was this:

"Rap is a music genre. While Hip-Hop is a lifestyle. Hip-Hop is rap music, break dancing, graffiti, the clothes they wear and many other things."

My vote for King of Hip Hop would be either Dr. Dre (He has produced so many artists and still does today) or Eminem who I think is the best pure rapper around but that is only my opinion.

I would think that there are people that feel that Rap is also a lifestyle....Oh wait, 2Pac and Biggie can't talk.
