KB note: When I had a migraine, it made me horny and I usually would masturbate. The headache would ease when I'd cum, but was back again soon.
Confession time (Medical). Your "I usually would masturbate" reminded me of it.
About once a month (or less often) I experience severe rectal pain when I'm sleeping. It wakes me up and there is no getting back to sleep. During an annual physical, I mentioned it to my doctor and he diagnosed it as Proctalgia Fugax.
Proctalgia fugax is pain or cramping felt around your buttocks and rectum.
The rectum is the last part of the large intestine, ending in the anus,
which removes solid waste from the body.
This pain is the result of spasms or cramps of your pelvic floor muscles,
anal sphincter muscles, or rectum muscles. Because proctalgia fugax is
unpredictable, it is difficult for doctors to diagnose or researchers to study.
Proctalgia fugax is temporary rectal pain. You may have intense pain for a
short time. Cramps in your rectum may last from a few seconds to several
minutes.
Mine usually lasts 45 minutes or longer. The doctor recommended sitting in a hot bath. Well, first, I no longer have a bath in my master bath so I'd have to go up to the upstairs bathroom, and secondly, I don't want to get in the bath in the middle of the night.
I discovered that I can masturbate and that helps alleviate the pain much quicker.
The next time I visited my doctor, he was reviewing notes from my previous visits and asked if I had experienced any more 'anal cramps'. I told him I had. He asked if the warm bath helped. I explained it was inconvenient for me as I mentioned above. I then added that I masturbate and it seems to go away quicker. I caught him off guard with that one. He then broke eye contact and made some notes in my file while mentioning he will keep that in mind when other patients complain of night time cramping.
