After almost 3 months of 100F daily highs, the Hurricane seems to have sucked the temperatures down to seasonal. Next 10 days forecast has daily highs no higher than 83F.

Back in central Alberta where we are from, today's high is 28F.

That is all.

Chilly weather is ahead starting this weekend. Be typical weather for us..

Meanwhile we had severe thunderstorm warnings this afternoon. I was at the VA at the time. They announced over the PA for staff to move patients beds away from the windows. Shortly after someone came by and moved those of us away from the window we were sitting by.

The sky was inky black then the rain hit.. really poured down for awhile. Was all over by the time I left.

Now tonight thunder rolled in with more rain. Thunder at the end of October? Not unheard of, but rare.

Beautiful.  Best day of October, I think. Tomorrow we hit the 70's. Great night for a campfire.

Its been a beast today. On and off thunderstorm. A tree a block and a half away got struck by lightning. The flash and loud boom and me nearly ducking for cover. At least my neighbor's mums are getting a fair share of water.

Today, down here in Baja Sur, forecast high is 28C with 57% relative humidity.

I know I shouldn't be surprised but the next few days are going to have highs in the low 30C range. A few days ago, the 10 day was showing no sign of any highs in the 30s.

That is all.

75 today.  Spent the entire day outside.
I wasn't on yesterday until 6pm, when Dan and I went to the hospital for his elderly Aunt.

SNOW!!!

Yep, first measurable snow of the season. We have about two inches here. One of my neighbors who has helped us with snow shoveling just had a hip replaced. That cuts my helping crew ready n half.

Naturally the few months we had without snow means everyone forgot their winter driving skills. Even at this early hour scores of crashes have been reported.

Wow. Snow?  Cold and rainy in Texas. 41° this morning. 36° tomorrow. Don’t like it. Wearing socks in the house. LOL.

Same here!!

Have at least an inch on the ground I had to run to the store. Everybody driving less than half the speed limit and the radio is filled with scores of crashes and delays. It was coming down heavy for about a half hour. Much heavier than predicted. Possible scattered snow flurries, says the lying bastard on the weather channel. An older gentleman walking near me in the store parking lot said "flurries my ass, it's a damn blizzard"

Snow on the ground.  It snowed from the time tricker treaters started coming until I don't know when.  When I looked outside at midnight, I could see the lawn was white.   All of our burning bushes and other trees have lost 50% of their leaves, but the white is stuck on all surfaces this morning.  Along with the bigger spruce trees behind them.

I hate the cold, but it is absolutely beautiful this morning with the sun on them.  It's starting to melt off though.

I cleaned up all the leaves in the front yard yesterday.  The back yard is staying.  Hopefully we get a day I can mulch them up in the next week.

What is this snow you have been talking about. Daytime highs in the high 20C - very low 30C range right now. It was a great day for the start of the Baja 1000 yesterday. First time they ran from South to North (they have always run from Ensenada but changed it up this year).

Today's high is forecast as 30C, 31C for tomorrow then nothing higher than 28C for the week after that.

That is all.

We got snow!. Second snowfall of the season. Well kinda. We got about an inch on Halloween, but this morning I woke up to a sheet of white outside. Maybe another inch, but it is still falling and may not stop till there are two in the ground.

Roads are a bit slick, but my car is AWD, and I've got my heated seats... love my heated seats.

However, I swear if one more person starts singing its beginning to look alot blah blah blah... imma shove a pen in my ear

Minneapolis is painted white this morning too. Guess it's what the weather works call a dusting. I'm sure it will be gone soon.

Still..."It's beginning to look like la la la."

No, no put that pen down Shiela. :emot_laughing:

Wow!!! Another day nearly 50 degrees. Heck of a December. Some golf courses actually reopened and tee times quickly filled up.

Tomorrow back to seasonal weather with temps.in the 30s and maybe some snow. Body shops will be celebrating.

Big warm front blowing up into the NE this weekend. Warmer than usual temperatures expected and lots of rain.

50s today, and then rain turning to snow tomorrow. Wouldnt be that big a deal, but I'm going to a birthday get together, so I'll be driving in it.
