DC recorded it's first measurable snow this week, with some minimal amount, but was noted as highest amount in over one year, at least.

Calling for Storm to hit us on Sunday, and overnight, so anyone who commutes will have traffic and weather to deal with on Monday 2/1.. if those predicting snow today have some credibility, lol.

Watcher will be out supervising the shovelling this Winter, no doubt.

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

It's nearing the end of January in Minneapolis and I heard this morning we still haven't gone below zero. In 150 years of recorded weather stats, this is the first time that's happened.

I know it's climate change and bad, but damn, after seeing "the boys" shrivel up every winter, I'm enjoying the change. ;D

Went for my run at 5:00 am and it was 7, but we had almost no wind, so it felt like 1 above.  That nasty windchill will get you ever time, and although I've never been there, I'm quite sure NYC gets way more than it's fair share.

Watcher will not be supervising, he will be doing. Most likely my last snow of the winter when it hits us Saturday night into Sunday.  8)

We got a great downpour last night.  Today everything is fresh and clean.  54F outside.  The cats have been cooped in all week so I;ve let them out to sniff the fresh clean world.

Snow.  Temp isn't all that bad sitting at mid 20's seems almost a heat wave considering the past week.

Snow and ice here because temperatures are hovering around the freezing mark.  A veritable winter wonderland. Strong winds aren't helping either.

Indeed!

When I woke up this morning there was already 4" on the ground, and it's snowing like crazy!

We're supposed to get a total of 14-18" before it ends tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Bring it on!

Minnesota moves east. Sorry about that New York :facepalm:

Meanwhile...we were to get 3-4 inches this weekend and only saw a few flakes.

Temps moderate too.  Only two below zero days this winter. Highs this week will be in 30s...yes above zero. By the weekend end cold weather ahead.

I've been hearing itll be up to two feet of snow there.  Seems like the east coast is trying to make up the snow fall for the rest of us.  Milwaukee area has been hit with ten inches and might get another five this thursday, but all I've really gotten around by me is some dusting.  One "heavy" snowfall of about 3 inches but that's about it.

We ended up with 12 inches. On top of the 6 inches they said we received on Tuesday. Snow plows left a three foot  high snow pile at the end of our drive way during the night.  Nice and sunny now.

There’s only about 3-4 “ here despite snowing for about 30 hours now.  At the moment it’s a very fine mist of snow that somehow is more penetrating when I go out, rather have those big flakes that slide or blow off you.

It’s been 30F or below last couple days, but looks like 34F this evening barely going below freezing tonight.  It always warms up after a snow.

Been trying to get propane and had to buy another cylinder instead of filling those I have.  Everyone was out yesterday.

It was. Worse part is that I had to tell my neighbors that I  will no longer be able to clear their sidewalks after today.

Got home about 7:30pm yesterday.  We see it snowed, because there is 3 inches on our driveway.  Nobody thought about going out to shovel or snow blow it.  "Well, Daddy always does it," was the excuse why they didn't.  smh   Guess who did it this morning?  Me.

Snow. Not much, couple inches by noon. It's what's behind the storm...cold temps dropping us out of our blissful 30+ degree weather we've had last few weeks. Highs in single digits with sub-zero temps at night.

One weather wonk on TV said it's coldest weather here in two years. Time to throw an extra cat on the bed. :D

Had an unusual late start to my day.  But was able to get a great run in when the temps were in the upper 20's and before the snow started.  It just recently started coming down by me. As much as I dislike the cold and snow, it does look beautiful when it falls.
