OUCH.  <hugs!>  Trust me, it can get WAY worse than that.  We had a heat wave ~20 years ago there where the LOW TEMP at night never fell below 100F for 10 days, and it peaked at 128F for a couple of days.  That was a truly miserable couple of weeks, in mid-July of course.  Right after that the monsoons kicked in and cooled it off a lot.

The little bit of rain we had at 5:30PM in Dallas dramatically dropped the temp from about 102 to 80F within an hour or so, so it's kinda nice and muggy outside now.  I can deal with it.

The National Weather Bureau said that for the first time in history all 50 states will be experiencing above normal temperatures for the next three months, the hottest areas being the Southwest and Southeast.

YES BUT REMEMBER......!!!!!
Global warming isn't really happening, Our Government would never lie to us...!!!

The ongoing heat is due to a "blocking" pattern in the upper atmosphere that allows high-pressure ridges to build.  Air sinks under high pressure, preventing clouds and rain from forming. The chief meteorologist for the Weather Company said that these types of blocking patterns during the summer have been more common in recent years, and it may be related to a decline in Arctic Sea ice because of climate change.

Same Here.....
Just to hot to do anything with the horses,
So they are all inside under the fans staying cool (as is possible).
The Mares with babies will most likely get bathed later today, especially the babies.
Other than that all is quiet.
Just watching the grass grow around the barn.
 :D

Love,
Liz

Some humidity is actually good for you.  In Arizona we often have very low humidity and we have to get humidifiers.  How low you ask? I have seen it as low as 15%.  Thats enough to dry out your mucus membranes and make catching a cold much easier.

Healthy humidity for a temperature of 72F is between 30 to 40%.

Forecast today is pretty much the same as it has been the past 4 or 5 -- 27C with chance (likelihood) of thunderstorms in the evening. The storms missed me last night but on Wednesday and Tuesday, got hit pretty hard.

That is all.

78, no cloud cover.

I'm not kidding when I say it's been almost 2 months since we've had a completely cloudy day. It's been nothing but blazing sunshine every fucking day.

We had the most wonderful rain last night.  It really brought the temperatures down.  Then, just when the temperatures started climbing back up and we were getting sticky, it started raining again and brought the temperatures down to 74 F.  The forecast says highs in the 80's through Wednesday. It was a delightful evening sitting under the umbrella on my patio.  ;D
