If the dew point and temp are the same, then you will get moisture on the grass and other things.  No rain though.

It was our second night in a row when the heavens opened up on us.  Last night, though, lightning bolts were hitting pretty close to the house.  What a light show we have had the past two nights.

It's FUCKING HOT in Dallas... dunno if it finally broke 100 today, but the heat index showed 105 or 106 earlier.

"A massive dome of high pressure in the upper atmosphere is gripping the nation's midsection this week, providing favorable conditions for dangerously hot temperatures."

Lovely.  At least I'm not in fucking PHOENIX.  It's 110 there at the moment, 7PM central.

I am and it's only 112.

OUCH.  <hugs!>  Trust me, it can get WAY worse than that.  We had a heat wave ~20 years ago there where the LOW TEMP at night never fell below 100F for 10 days, and it peaked at 128F for a couple of days.  That was a truly miserable couple of weeks, in mid-July of course.  Right after that the monsoons kicked in and cooled it off a lot.

The little bit of rain we had at 5:30PM in Dallas dramatically dropped the temp from about 102 to 80F within an hour or so, so it's kinda nice and muggy outside now.  I can deal with it.

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

77° right now. There's a hint of coolness in a breeze. My babies can sleep without air conditioning tonight.

We got a nice rain on Sunday.   Grass making a little comeback.   90's with no rain in forecast so it's going to die again.      I WON'T waste water (and $) on grass.   The neighbor has beautiful plush grass but his recent water bill was $900.

Was sunny and hot today, high was about 92 but humidity was pretty low.  So actually a pretty nice day.

We had 104F today.  Then this evening a big Monsoon storm came in and dropped the temperatures to 79F.  It is still warm outside and very muggy.

The National Weather Bureau said that for the first time in history all 50 states will be experiencing above normal temperatures for the next three months, the hottest areas being the Southwest and Southeast.
