We had more rain today!  Below is the average city wide.  One spot had 2 inches fall in 1/2 hours time.

Tucson weather: Record-breaking rainfalls

Yesterday's rainfall totals didn't just break a record- it shattered it.

Tucson International Airport recorded 1.15 inches of rain yesterday, breaking the old record for June 29 of 0.55 inches, set in 1912.

With more rain on the forecast today, 2016 is positioned to break the record for the wettest June, according to the National Weather Service in Tucson.

Yesterday's totals and what's been recorded since midnight measure in at 1.58 inches. With the previous record set at 2.07 inches, enough rain today could push 2016 into first place.

Sitting on a clifftop car park today... the sky turned navy blue... the rain came... just like another cloudburst. It turned to hail just before the thunder and lightening cracked. Right overhead. The second and third bouts of thunder really shook the ground and made us feel in a precarious position as there have been many landslips nearby recently. Got the hell out of there in driving, blinding rain and hail.

Fucking weather...

Lois, saw the floods you were getting on the news.  Doesn't take much rain to create floods in your part of the country.  Hope you are safe.

Feels like 106F in Dallas, although it's only 96.  There's a weak line of storms building and heading this way that may cool it off a little late this evening.  The heat index has been hotter in Dallas than in Tucson for *weeks*.  Ugh.  At the moment, it feels hotter than Phoenix outside (relative index is 104 in the Valley).

Thank The Lady for air conditioning!

Hot and Humid Here .
The heat isn't so bad, right around the high 80's / low 90's. It's the humidity that's a killer. We were suppose to get rain over Thursday and Friday, but it never happened.
Instead we got humidity upwards to 90%.
So, everything is wet, without the rain.

82 degrees here. Sunny and zero humidity.
Spent the afternoon giving baths to the horses, all the while my 13 month old niece was intently watching everything I did from her stroller (only way I could keep track of her). She will be the next generation horse person in our family (I hope).
