The AC guy came out today.  The compressor is dead.  Repairs are gonna cost $1,600.  Ugh.

The soonest he can get the new compressor is Thursday morning.  Thursday high s expected to reach 100F, and Friday 103F.  Had a hard time sleeping last night as it was 94F in the house, but it cooled down to 80F by morning.

I had that happen in Phoenix in July one year.  It was 128F (53C) the day they came out with the crane to replace the unit.  I didn't even TRY to stay in the house, as the low temp at night never fell below 100 that week.  The poor bastard spent 3 hours trying to get it to go, but it was DOA.  They came back out the next day with the crane again and dropped another unit on the roof.  I spent 4 nights in a cheap motel.

It'll hit 115 or thereabouts in Phoenix this weekend, then cool off a little.  It's wet and cool here in Dallas.  I need a canoe.  One town near here had 7" of rain today, and there are flash flood warnings all over the area.

Mine went out on July 4, one year. I, however had a good AC repair company. They replaced the compressor the same day.

Perfect day here.
Not to hot or to cold....temperature is right at 80 degrees.
Unfortunately, the horse flies are murder. I may end up bringing in the horses so they can get away from them. But the fans are now on creating a nice breeze in the barn, so no flies in there.

Finally, It's raining......temperatures are down in the 70's (and this is at 7AM).
Horses are going out in the rain, I'm sure they will love it.
One horse has to say in she is sick and the vet is coming at 12 noon.
She won't like it.

Rainy here too but we need it.  Sounds like more rain for Sunday.  Pretty cool too, in upper 60's right now.

Liz, hope your horse will be OK.  Hate hearing of any animals being sick.

IT IS REALLY FUCKING HOT IN ARIZONA TODAY:

Phoenix: 113F

Tucson: 109F

Yuma: 115F

After a cooler than usual May, we are being told record breaking heat is in store for us in June.  I am so glad my air conditioning is fixed.
