Just think how beautiful the surrounding landscape will look once it stops raining and the flowers bloom.  8)

Meanwhile In Texas.....They are trying (diligently I Might Add) to burn down the entire state, so that the US Army can not invade.

PS: I know Texas is in a mess with the wildfires, I really do hope they get it under control. I wish them the best.
Good Luck

Maybe someone should tell them that "scorch and burn" does not work against modern armies?

The fire near Austin (Bastrop) is only 25% contained, the rest are pretty much out.  It's been over 4 months with no rain, so the state is bone dry.

http://tinyurl.com/pqcyw72  (that's the Wunderground map of the area near Bastrop)

and every day I see flaming morons tossing lit cigarettes out of car windows...  I've driven by 2 different fires in town caused by idiot smokers.

Good news is the El Niño event.  Should be a wet winter for us.

And a more milder winter for us up north.

If the weather forecast is true, we'll finally break the nearly 5-month drought.

Hello, Dallas!!  Rain in less than 48 hours.

Folks in the southwest usually use a thick elastomeric coating on their roofs.  Sadly, it is not made to be a sealer.

But I've found a product that uses silicone and not latex/rubber as the base.  I am hoping that it will fix our roof.  Now if we can only get a spell of dry weather. It is raining again tonight.  ???

Not a cloud in the sky, crystal clear blue (unlike Tommy James and the shondells song Crystal Blue Persuasion). It's cool though, low 50- 60's. No rain forecast for here.

Looks like all the fires are out in Texas, except for one small new one SW of Austin.  It's so small it doesn't show on the larger national map.  The rains for the next several days will stomp anything that's still burning in Texass.

EVERYTHING EAST of us is fucked, though; only West Virginia is clear.

Hail in El Paso?  Six to ten inches of rain expected in Dallas?  And our city is experiencing the driest October in history.  RF, you can send some rain up our way.

Here comes "Patricia"!

Mexico was hit by a category 5 hurricane on the Pacific side in 1959 when CO2 was at a "safe" level of 315ppm. In fact, the track of Patricia is eerily similar to that hurricane, and will hit in almost the same area.

Meanwhile the UN is trying to agree that they will stop Climate Change... no agreement on details, of course, just bickering over who will not have to pay...

As if the UN is able, or ever has been, to bring about any positive change ever.

Israel is as close as the UN has come to creating a positive outcome, actually.

A warmer Pacific ocean indicates more rain for the west this season.  We are finally in a dry spell here in Tucson, and now it's COLD!
