LOL.....I find it interesting (and funny) how much we bitch about the heat in summer (and talk about winter coming as a relief). Then when winter is here we do the exact opposite and bitch about how cold it is and can't wait for summer.....LOL

I love the winter.  The only thing I like about the summer is being able swim and lay out in the sun.  And of course a naked swim before bed. I will miss that once it gets cold but I am looking forward to the fall and winter.

But having said that,  the last 2 winters have been fucking brutal!!

As for today's weather it's sunny, hot and humid so I'm looking forward to taking a swim when I get home.

I've been to Riga several times.
The collection of airplanes at the airport is pretty impressive (when will they build a museum for restoring them and showing them?)..The Russian Backfire bomber parked off to the side is impressive.  The train system through the city is fun to ride and for 11 euro's you can ride it all day (I think that's what I paid for it).

High in the 70's today, absolutely clear day, not a single cloud or meteoroid in sight.
No rain in the forecast.

Summer sorta hanging on in Minnesota.  Temps in the 70s and sometime near 80.  The one sign of fall is cooler temps at night.  So, nice days and good sleeping weather at night.

OK, we're not in denial.  Winter will come.

Be glad you're not in Phoenix.  100F plus for the next week.  Hell, it was almost always too hot at Halloween for a heavy costume when I was a kid.  It was still hitting low 90s back then during All Hallows' Eve.  I'll take the 90F here in Dallas in late September.
