wow! Colorado was on NPR news yesterday for our weather.

they said this storm was a rare storm that all the roads in the state were snow packed!

one of the few times in the last 200 years!

Back to reality.  After a week of 90 degree, sunny skies in Mexico, we landed last night to about 5 above. 

Won't see even 20 today, but heat wave for the weekend, into the upper 20s.

So, why the hell did we leave Zihuatanejo.  Oh, right, the cats said one week was all we could have.  Back to serving their little four pawed needs. :emot_laughing:

Wow. 75 wrecks in Ft Worth this last hour. Cars spinning out on hills forcing others to back down or turn around. Wrecks in Denton (where I live) have the interstate stopped. AND, it's only 2 inches deep right now. Stew anyone? Green Beans and homemade sourdough bread.

For me, sourdough bread makes great French toast.  We were only supposed to get 2-3 inches yesterday and we ended up with 6.  Anyone have above freezing temps they can send my way to melt this awful stuff?  8)

Homemade Sourdough Bread, mmmmm. Recipie staci? Anvil? Watcher?

Am supposed to be off all kinds of bread, w/low carb diet, and on can dream.

Daytime here is almost like a cold Spring day, clear, crisp, no wind lately... night is bitter (for Wash DC), but dressed for it is ok, solong as there is not much wind.

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

here's my starter

1 cup good flower
1cup of warm water.

remove half and add the above.

feed her twice a day for a week or so.

you should see bubbles after the first few days to a week.

then work up to 3cups flower and 3 cups water.

every time you feed it, take out half and add the above.

I have to find my "no rise" dutch oven recipe.
